Vintage OC WHITE Industrial Machine Age Magnifying Light Desk Lamp KNUCKLE
NO INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING FOR THIS ITEM. This auction is for a rare O.C. White desk light with a magnifying lens. This sucker has a heavy cast iron base and the lamp weighs 22 pounds. The base measures 14" deep by 13.5" wide at the wide end. It is 18" tall to the top of the rod. It is all metal except for the wood handle on the lamp arm. Note the nice knickle knob on the clamp. The small metal knob on the clamp is marked O.C. White Co. I tried to get a picture. But it didn't show well. The lamp uses two 15 watt light bulbs and works. The wiring is in good shape and looks newer than the lamp so it may have been rewired at some point. You can plug it in and use it. Te vertical bar has some light rust spots. The underside of the cast iron base is rusty, as shown. The painted body of the lamp is in pretty nice shape. There ... moreis some light wear and a few chip of paint loss on the light itself. The base has a pretty hunter green insert in the cast iron base. Im not 100% sure what the insert is made from. I think it is metal, but it may be another hard material. The green has light wear, but is in good vitage shape. Other than possibly having been rewired, the lamp appears to be in original un-restored condition. It actually came out of an old warehouse in downtown Toledo. Shipping will be fairly expensive for this item because of the box size and weight. There are only a couple of minor scrapes to the head(see photos) and what might be a tiny chip in the lens(can't get it off with cleaner) Also, the brackets that secure the bulb is missing one original nut, but has a regular nut as a replacement. The base is heavily weighted for stability. This is really a nice lamp with perfect paint, etc. except for as described. This one is the best condition I've seen. Watchmaker or jewelers lamp light for working on small items. This is a heavy well built piece. It is made of a cast metal and weighted. It weighs almost 9 pounds. The lamp swivels and has an adjusting arm so that it can be moved into different heights and positions for doing your fine work. The lamp works fine and has two bulbs as shown. It has a large 5 1/4 inch magnifier lens. The height of the lamp at max height is about 16 1/2 inches. It sits on a 6 inch round base that stays nice and steady because of the weight. The width of the light shade is about 6/2 inches. This is in very good working solid condition. There are no breaks.
