Vintage Porter Cable 564 Heavy Duty 4'x24" Belt Sander
Rare model. Weighs 14 lbs before packing. Motor runs strong and sounds good as do the bearings but apparently the handle was cracked as it looks like epoxy run around it at both ends where it meets the machine. Handle feels sound and snug with no wobble. Also the wiring is probably damaged where it enters the handle as it is taped there and it does show some age cracking at other spots. I'm thinking the handle cracked and the previous owner reinforced it before it became a major problem and unusable. It is an estate machine so know one to ask. Base tilts up to 45 degrees and has a 90 degree adjustable stop. The switch box attached to the bottom of the table needs new wiring. One side of the cast iron fence is adjustable. This is a great lightweight 6.5" saw that I have used for almost 30 years. It has the special close clearance table that allows cutting much closer to obstacles. Runs well and works 100% Rip fence and blade wrenches are included. When I replaced a worn-out cord I installed a much longer one. Which I find very convenient. Good-as-new table or base plate for vintage Porter Cable/ Rockwell circular saws(hope this is the correct part name) Absence of the part of the base typically outside the blade allows closer cuts to obstructions. I have a 368 and a 146. It fits both of them and will certainly fit many other PC saws Overall length is 10" Width is 5.5" with the wider part being 6.25" Aluminum. Approximately 5/32" thick. Excellent condition. Very straight, showing only normal evidence of use.

Porter Cable Speedmatic model 500 belt sander locomotive vintage with dust bag
This sander is a beast and runs great. Though honestly. I've never actually sanded with it and I've never even but a belt on it. Takes a 4 x 27 belt, which is an odd size, but can be ordered. McMaster Carr has them and you can order them online from them, I know that much. Sander shows some shop rash, but for the age it's in pretty nice shape. The bag is a little worse for wear. It has several small tears in it, and the zipper head is missing.so it's not functional by any means.but has strong"cool factor. You'll want to get a new one for actual use. Both black handles are in nice shape with no chips or cracks. Aluminum has no cracks. The two ventilation screens are a little rippled, but there are no tears or punctures. Serial number 385. The sheet metal piece over the platen has a bit of tearing near the back edge(see ... morepicture) The cork underneath looks pretty good. The cord is intact(not sure if it's original or not, but appears to be) though it looks to have been run over by the belt a few times. None of the scars are too deep however, and certainly not through to the wires. 10 amps. This sander is the big brother to the 503. It's either the largest or second-largest belt sander Porter Cable made, I forget which. I think it dates from the 1940's, as the badge is the black Speedmatic one instead of the more common red. Only parts missing that I'm aware of is one drive screw that holds the badge on(lower left in the badge close-up pic) If you want to see specific pictures let me know and I will post them. Sander runs strong and does not make any offending noise when running. The switch is nice and solid feeling.very positive. Made right here in Syracuse, NY. VINTAGE PORTER-CABLE 315-1 TOP HANDLE 7 1/4 INCH CIRCULAR SAW
Porter-Cable was the first to build a top handle builders saw and they were the last to have one in the market. This one is a type 4 so it is just about the last of the production run of almost 60 years of great saws. With some light scratches on the shoe and a little sawdust you can tell this saw has been used. But very gently and well cared for. It is very clean, runs like new and has the original cord, still supple with no nicks or cuts.

HEAVY DUTY 3" PORTER CABLE SANDER. SELLING FOR PARTS OR REPAIR. PURCHASED AT AN ESTATE SALE. COSMETICALLY, EXCEPT FOR THE CORD, IT IS IN GOOD CONDITION. APPARENTLY THE SANDER HAS NOT BEEN USED FOR A LONG TIME. THE CORD HAS DETERIORATED AND IT WILL NEED TO BE REPLACED. IT CRACKED IN SEVERAL PLACES WHEN I STARTED TO STRAGHTED IT OUT. IT IS QUITE RIGID AND WON'T STRAIGHTEN OUT. I PLUGGED THE SANDER IN FOR ABOUT 5 SECONDS AND IT SOUNDED VERY HEALTHY. THE MACHINE WILL NEED SOME OIL AS THERE WAS NONE VISIBLE. IT LOOKS TO ME LIKE THIS HAS NOT BEEN USED TOO MUCH. THERE IS WEAR AND SCRATCHES FROM NORMAL USE BUT NOTHING SERIOUS. THERE IS NOTHING BROKEN OR MISSING. Vintage Porter Cable Door Hinge Mortice Router Jig Template - Wood Case & Brass
This is a vintage Porter Cable door hinge jig/template device. Looks to be very comeplete and well cared for. Has a secret compartment with hinge spacers. I believe everything is here(except the router obviously) The wooden case is beautiful. Made for this tool specifically. It has brass hinges, loops and corner protectors. The whole thing is functional. Yet a work of art. There is some possible water staining on the case and the leather handle is detached on one side. It is heavy so shipping will reflect that. EXCELLENT example of a vintage tool by a GREAT AMERICAN COMPANY!

Vintage 503 Porter Cable Locomotive Belt Sander 3" X 24" Very Early Model, Nice!
This is an original Porter Cable#503 belt sander in excellent condition. A classic! I found this sander at an estate sale here locally and learned it was owned by a cabinet maker who took exceptional care of his tools. This sander was stored on the shelf in a heated shop and it shows. It's in great shape. Everything is original on this sander. There is no type indicator on this tool, it is one of the very first models made before typing began. This sander starts quickly and immediately gets up to speed. The drive wheel is in fantastic shape with solid rubber that is not decayed or cracked. The front wheel is straight and there is no evidence of it having been dropped or abused. These sanders are heavy and are frequently dropped which breaks the handle or the front left wheel mount. Not this tool. Nothing is cracked or damaged and everything ... moreis where it should be and operates correctly. These sanders are commonly called Locomotive sanders because of their profile and shape. This Porter Cable 503 is considered by many to be the best belt sander ever made. This sander was excetionally expensive to buy when new. The locomotive sanders have gained a following among collectors and users alike. They are very heavy(16 pounds) and extremely durable with a classic design that is both functional and handsome. There are just a few light scratches and the expected storage marks. No dents or deep scratches. It's in remarkable condition. The cord is in great shape as is the strain relief junction piece. The handle is in excellent shape. No chips or cracks and the trigger operates with a positive click. The thin metal platen is in good condition with some discoloration and light rust. This is a replaceable part if necessary and still made. This is a classic sander in outstanding condition, ready for your collection or bench.
