This is a vintage heavy duty 6 3/4 inch Rockwell Circular saw. Model#346. It belonged to my dad who worked in hardware all his life following WW II. He sold saws and blades of all shapes and sizes. The saw works fine and appears to have had very limited use. The metal is still a bright silver(other than some stains which I'm sure will clean up) and the cord shows no real visible wear or tear. What a saw. I am a carpenter in Chicagoland. And we use this saw for cutting various metals, from doors and frames to metal studs and everything in between. The ease and speed when cutting metal ... morestuds has to be seen to be believed. It cuts 16 gauge 6' metal studs(2 at a time) like it is cutting wood. There is a learning curve to using it but its not long. I would say after about 4-5 cuts you should have it mastered. Learning to cut at the right speed and amount of pressure is very important. Cutting too fast and too hard will dull the blade pretty fast. I have a dull blade that an apprentice can attest to that proves the point. Just keep in mind that you want to see minimal sparking from the blade when cutting and it should sound like it is just shearing through the metal with ease. When the blade gets dull you will notice it takes a greater amount of effort to push the saw through the work. And the noise is very loud, kind of like what it would sound like if you were cutting a metal stud with a regular saw and regular carbide blade. REMEMBER: SMOOTH IS SLOW. AND SLOW IS FAST.

Milwaukee 8-1/4" Circular Saw Model 6405
This saw is in very good condition. It does need a cord repair see pic. The saw works fine but the cord should be fixed as a safety issue. I'm a retired builder( 40 yrs) and this is my saw. The only thing about that I didn't like is its a little bit heavy. The only thing a really used it for was stair stringers. I have the 7-1/4" sister to it for most of my work. FYI I am selling quite a few tools that I don't need any more. Most of them are professional quality tools in good condition. Thanks for looking! Up for your viewing pleasure I proudly present is a nearly mint condition used one time model 77 type 15 USA worm gear Skilsaw from 1976 as per lost receipt. The nearly mint box and accessories are included as shown. You will not find a better worm gear saw from the late 1970's in this condition. It weighs nearly 13 pounds(very heavy) without the box and add roughly 4 more pounds for shipping. Study the photos and ask questions and do your research.
