This is an outstanding Hofbrauhaus Cuckoo clock made in West Germany by Schmeckenberger. The clock was cleaned and serviced recently. The works were ultasonic cleaned. The case is in excellent condition and the colors are very vibrant. The white shadow. that you see was created by my camera flash. The clock keeps good time. The cuckoo bird comes out on the hour and cuckoo's and chimes the number of hours, and the gentlemen that are sitting on the kegs of beer lift their beer steins with each cuckoo call, when the cuckoo bird finishes his call he retreats, at this time the music plays its tune on a Swiss music movement, the door on the left opens and a beer stein is appears in the window until the music is complete. Animated musical beer drinkers cuckoo clock. Clock movement has been cleaned and oiled. And bellow tops have been replaced. Clock is keeping good time, and strikes with cuckoo call and gong chime on the half hour and at the top of the hour for the appropriate amount of hours. As the cuckoo calls the 2 gents on the barrels lift there mugs. After the top hour cuckoo call, a frosty mug emerges and the German tune trink trink trink plays. Clock is in overall nice condition with only a few nicks around. Lower railing under drinkers is a touch loose, i didnt bother too glue, because nothing hangs on it and it supports no weight. Up for auction is a BLACK FOREST GERMANY VINTAGE*8 DAY* BEER KEG ANIMATED CUCKOO CLOCK THAT HAS BEEN COMPLETELY RESTORED. The cuckoo bird comes out of the top door. And calls on the hour and the half hour. Also, as the cuckoo bird calls, there is a nice sounding gong. Beer drinkers sitting at a table below the clock dial raise their steins in a toast as the cuckoo bird calls. Front of case has barley and green vinery and is made of plastic or resin. Inner housing is pine. The cuckoo clock is made to look like a wooden barrel beer keg, with steel band holding the wood lathes together. Stamped"Made in Germany" on movement and marked 34-73. The clock measures 12" H without pendulum or weight and 10"W. It's an unusual older cuckoo cuckoo! Warhammer 40k Unique Soul Drinkers Army
