The bands come pre-assembled and easy to use(Fig 1) Begin by slipping the left hand in the tool. Fig 2) with the right hand. Place the clip of the band into the slot of the tool. Fig 3) Hold the free end of the band between the 1st and 2nd fingers of the left hand. Fig 4) Doing so will help the clip stay steady while you stretch the Band. Normal 0 Bloodless Burdizzo Castrator 16" Size· Manufactured from high quality stainless steel. Highly polished finish for aesthetic and corrosion resistance. Fully autoclavable/reusable. Made out of high quality stainless steel. The safest. Quickest, and cleanest, way to castrate livestock by crushing the testicular cor. This set has been in storage for more than 10 years and were used just a few times before stored. It is important to remember that the spermatic cords must be crushed one side at a time. You must proceed with one cord at a time and make two crushes 1-2cm of distance. After restraining the animal, grab the scrotum and manipulate one of the testicles deep in the scrotal sac and find the spermatic cord. Place the clamp over the spermatic cord one-third of the way down the scrotum. Clamp down and hold for 15 to 20 ... moreseconds. Release the clamp, reposition it over the spermatic cord one-half inch lower and repeat the procedure. Perform the same steps on the other side to crush the other spermatic cord. Always check the position of the spermatic cord before and after each clamping to ensure no mistakes are made. With this method, the scrotal sac will not slough off but will remain on the animal. This is a vintage 16" Burdizzo Bloodless Castrator for cattle. Sheep or goats. it was made in Italy and purchased by my father approximately 45 years ago. It has been used very little and is in like new condition. It has no rust or pitting. It still has the original paper lable which was placed on one handle by the manufacturer. The tool opens almost 2" wide. This is an item you can use or place somewhere to be viewed by others. It is a collector's item. It is made with polished stainless steel with no blemishes or pitting.
