Vintage Antique Farm Bucket 8 Outlet Calf Lamb Milk Water Feeder Pail
Here is an old farm animal feeding bucket. I think it was made for feeding milk to lambs or small calves. It has eight outlets at the bottom which feeder nipples are supposed to be attached to. The nipples are missing and the outlets have wooden(or cork) stoppers pushed into them. I think you can likely still purchase the replacement nipples at farm supply stores or at farm animal veterinary clinics. It looks like the bucket has had some repair work done to it and it has been repainted. I suspect it is water tight as the repairs look very good. But I did not test it. It measures approx 13 1/2" tall(including the lid/handle) and is approx 8 1/2" in diameter(measurement does not include the outlets which protrude out from the bucket) Thanks for looking. Up for bid are 2 used 8 quart galvanized calf feeding pails. 1 is a Behrens. The Behrens does not have any of the feeder parts. The other has the nut assembly with a nipple. The nipple needs to be replaced as it is split in the front. The pails both have handles and hangers. Both look like they are in good condition. This item/items as most of the things I sell. Came from an auction, flea market, estate sale or rummage sale.
