RARE Vintage Vega Lap Steel Guitar This is a rare and hard to find Vega lap steel guitar with case. Circa 1940's or 50's. Lap steel works great, it has some minor dings to the finish here& there, not abused, a small part of the ivory colored binding is missing from the top of the neck, someone put a bit of offwhite paint there where it was missing. One tuning key was replaced, it is old, but not with the cool"giraffe spot" looking design the others have. The felt on the back is worn from use, as shown. Lap steel comes with 1 brass Roy Smeck slide, 4 finger picks(1 tortoiseshell colored plastic one, 2 Kyser USA metal ones, 1 unmarked metal one) Lap Steel case has a case which is in vintage, used condition, the inside is great, but has scuffs on outside, handle has veru worn leather. Vintage long neck vega banjo-early 60's-Model SS-5 folklore A126595 with case
I am offering this beautiful finish Vega"SS-5 Folklore" model extra long neck(32" banjo with case. Original price and model guide brochure and operating instructions. this brochure indicates that has maple 3 piece neck. Rosewood fingerboard, pearl dots, neck tension rod, shaded mahogany finish, nickle plated parts, gear tuning pegs and plastic head. This was made before 1965 in that all the information mentions Boston. Mass. so the 2 letter identification and zip code had not been implimented. Photos 1.2& 3 show the case that is in excellent condition with no rips, tears or scratches. The stitching is solidly intact. It does have a couple of bumps but nothing serious. The latches all work to shut tight. Photo 3 shows the banjo in the case. Photos 4.5& 6 show the various views of the extra long neck. Photos 7. 8, 9& ... more10 show the body of this banjo. This is where is is a problem- The 2nd metal string on the left(see photo 7) is loose and will probably need to be replaced. I am not a banjo player so I am not sure how to replace, but this is the only problem on this banjo that I can see or feel. Photo 10 shows the original lable that identifies this make and model. It is in pristine condition. Photo 11& 12 show the paperwork that is with it- the original 4 page price and model guide brochure. Care of the banjo instructions, and tuning instructions. beautiful. Straight, 3 piece neck is secure to the pot.not visable fret wear.neck set angle is correct. Banjo has new Gotoh tuners and a new 5 Star 5th string geared peg.a new 5 Star arm rest and a new Kirschner tail piece.a new Weatherking frosted top head. The original hooks and nuts looked their age and were replaced with new Rickard hooks and closed end 9/32 nuts.if there's better quality hooks and nuts out there, i've not seen them. The tension hoop has lost some of it's original luster but is still very good.5 th string capo. The Lifton case has some wear on it but is in very good condition. The latches show some rust but. All work. Sadly, I do not have the key this is the best Folklore long neck. I have refurbished. Vega (used, 1927) Vegaphone Artist Tenor Banjo with Original Hard Shell Case
Bought from an estate sale a wonderful rare near top-of-the-line used banjo. Vega Vegaphone Artist tenor banjo with original black hard shell case. This banjo is a standard long scale. 19-fret model Vega Artist, which model is an ornate Tubaphone tone ring-equipped tenor banjo. Including extensive floral carving at the heel of the neck. It has a fern inlaid headplate; a large inlaid and etched star on the back of the headstock, and an etched inlay on the heel cap. The back of the resonator is finished and is divided into 8“pie-cut” sections. Both the fingerboard and the edge of the resonator are bound in grained ivoroid. The inlaid position markers are mother of pearl. The tailpiece is a four-finger Oettinger style and original. Engraved on each of its fingers(individually) with Artist. Vegaphone, The Vega Company, Boston. The wooden dowel ... morethat runs through the back of the banjo is stamped with a great deal of information including address of the Vega Company in Boston. Mass. several patent numbers, the model, and in addition the dowel supports the metal threaded connection that allows the resonator to be attached to the rim. Serial number: 73800. The back of the rim is capped with a ring of wood parquetry with triangle mosaic at center. All four of the tuners are original. Gold-plated, and stamped Planet and each has a beautiful mother of pearl button. Condition of the banjo: Lacquer is crazed. Some light scratches and nicks to the back and side. All inlays and mother of pearl are complete and in place. Spot of lacquer worn through on back of upper neck. Some green corrosion on the gold plating. The head looks like someone wrote on the edge of it and blacked it out. The round top of one of the hex nuts is broken off. The inside of the resonator(which is held to the rim by one center screw) is stamped with a Vega star and then“The Vega Co. Boston, Mass. U.S.A. and Reg. U.S. Pat. Off. Here is a 1954 or 1955? Vega solid body electric guitar. Made in the USA. I see no serial# This guitar is being sold as a project. The fingerboard was replaced and needs some work. The back and front were stripped and refinished. It looks like the neck and sides has the original finish. The truss rod works. The electronics look original with original routing. The p-90 style pickup, pots, tuners, and pickguard look original. The pickguard was shortened in the front. The jack plate was home made. The bridge cover looks orignal and snaps on. 1922 Fairbanks Vega Whyte Laydie L style Banjo Mandolin
An L style Fairbanks Vega Open back 8 string Banjo Mandolin. I don't know much about it other than what I can find on the internet. I had an expert from emerald city guitar in Seattle look at it and said it was in good working condition. Just missing one string but all parts are working and functioning. The Head is 10in. Rim to rim 10 and 3/4 in. It's 23 and 5/8 inches long. From the serial number I believe it's 1922 or so. SN 50026 The expert placed a value of about $1200-$1500. I put a picture on this page Of the value it's showed to be in an old guitar pricing guide. Showing the low end $1100 and the high end $1350. Comes with case and a picture of the original owner I believe. There is also a strap in the case and some small pieces that I don't know what they are. This was given to me by a friend so I'm not a banjo ... moreplayer. Or know that much about banjos, all I know is this is a really cool, really old instrument. Vintage 50's Arthur Godfrey Vega Baritone Ukulele - Restored - Hear Sound Sample
This is a solid mahogany Arthur Godfrey Vega baritone ukulele. Early 50's vintage. When I got it it was structurally solid, but cosmetically challenged. The finish was checked, characteristic if this vintage and it needed a good cleanup. All the finish was removed down to the bare wood and it was finished with 8 coats of hand rubbed tung oil. The nut and saddle are bone and the finger board is rosewood. The fingerboard and frets are in good shape. The only identifying marks on it was remnants of the"Arthur Godfrey" and"Vega" logos on the headstock.I first attempted to save the remainng portion of the logos, but that didn't allow a good finish on the headstock so I finally sacrificed the logos for a good looking hreadstock. Photo 10 shows the headstock before final foinishing, compared to another Vega headsrock ... moreso you can see it is in fact a Vega. It also has all the othetr characteristics of a Vega.size, shape, soundhole ring, headstock shape, fret marker pattern and size, and most of all, it SOUNDS like a Vega. Early 1900s 5 string open back banjo & case Liberty Vega Washburn Stewart nice
Up for a buy it now or best offer is one of 4 instruments I am listing from the estate of professional musician Armand DeAngelo. All of these instruments were used by him and expertly maintained throughout his career. And are all in excellent playing condition, with no breaks cracks or repairs, but may need new strings as they are being sold as I purchased them. This is a late 1800s/early 1900s open back 5 string banjo. I am not sure of the maker, but maybe someone out there can tell me! The only markings I see on it are on the head, a more recent Liberty Banjo Co head, and the mark VIII stamped in to the inside of the rim above where the dowel attaches near the tailpiece. It is in excellent playing condition with a nice straight neck. It has some very nice inlay work on the fingerboard with a crown inlay on the peghead. Tuners look newer, ... moreand the tailpiece does not look original. The plating on all of the metal parts is excellent and the original finish on the wood is very nice though there is a tiny chip out of the very tip on the back of the headstock. Vega Mandolin & Case VM 30
Vega Mandolin VM-30 Rare bird here! Model is VM- 30 likely made in the 1980s. It appears this model is a retro 1920s Vega double cutaway cylinder back reissue. I can find absolutely nothing about the model on the web. However. These mid-1980s Vegas were mentioned as being a great quality and value for under $1000! Well built and beautifully adorned. Great tone and playability with a volume control. Plugged it in and the pickup system provides a nice natural tone through the amp. Flamed maple back and I think a spruce top. Fretbaord looks like ebony but I think it is really rosewood. Bridge looks like ebony though. Bound everywhere. Even the headstock. Headstock has a nice tortoise overlay with inlaid abalone logo and scroll. Condition is near mint! Action is good and wear to the frets minimal.

Vintage 1950’s Solid Mahogany Vega Ukulele with Hardshell Archtop Case
Vintage 1950’s solid Mahogany Vega Ukulele with Hard Case This Ukulele dates from the 1950’s and has decals on the headstock identifying it as the Arthur Godfrey Standard Model baritone ukulele from the Vega Company. Vintage instruments like this one tend to keep or increase their value while new instruments tend to depreciate in value. So this could be great fun and a good investment for you. Construction: The body and neck appear to be solid Honduran Mahogany throughout. The fingerboard and bridge are Brazilian Rosewood. The 1-3/8 nut and the saddle are unbleached bone that has darkened with age. There is a single ring of a black soundhole rosette. Fret markers are pearl dots. The neck meets the body at the fourteenth fret and there are 22 frets altogether. The frets are brass-colored. Condition: There is no wear evident on the frets. The ... moretop and back have shrunk a bit more than the sides so there is a narrow margin of the edges of the sides showing on part of the lower bout. The neck is straight and the tuners are in good working condition. This instrument has its original nitrocellulose finish which is checkered but intact. Accessories: The instrument comes in a new vintage style Guardian hardshell archtop case with green crushed velvet interior and accessory compartment. The case has a padded leather handle. Black exterior, and brass plated closure hasps and hinges. Dimensions: 29-1/4” long overall. 10” lower bout, 7-1/2” upper bout, 3”depth. Please ask any questions you have before bidding. Vintage Cerwin Vega ATW-12 Woofers Upgraded Foam/Dustcaps
Please read the whole description. Supreme set of Cerwin Vega ATW-12" Woofers. Re-foamed and capped two weeks ago. Excellent condition. From research I see if a person were to get a recone kit the kit is 4ohm. I've also read that they were 6ohm. Wattage ranged from 150 and 200. Not sure if that is continuous or max. Cerwins with AT/ATW woofers installed in them can handle a lot of wattage. Sorry. That's all I can find for specs. I purchased. Shimmed, re-foamed and replaced dust caps. They are in excellent condition. The spider is tight and level. I've done this to dozens of woofers without an issue. I SHIP ITEMS SECURELY. To be absolutely clear: this auction is for the speaker grills(front covers) only. There are no speakers or speaker cabinets included in this auction. These grills fit Cerwin Vega LS12 speakers. If you bid on this auction. You are bidding on replacement grills only. You will get the grills exactly as shown in the photos, but only the grills. You will not receive the entire speaker. just the grills. Did that cat(that later disappeared) decide to climb your awesome Cerwin Vega speakers? Did your drunk roommate face-plant into your nice grill? Let's face it. LS12's ROCK whether they look good or bad. BUT studies show that they rock approximately 110% better when they look great with some nice grills. Grills. I might add, that also help keep the neighbor's kid from pushing in the centers of your speakers or tearing your foam just ... moreto see whats behind it. Kids just can't help that and nobody wants the problems that come from giving the neighbor kid a real close look at the back of your hand. Up for auction are some very nice speaker covers from Cerwin Vega LS-12 speakers. The plastic frames are perfect with no cracks or breaks and all 6 points of attachment are perfect on each. In the photos of the rears of the covers. The areas on the plastic frame that look dirty are actually oversprayed adhesive from the factory. This is normal and cannot be seen when the covers are installed. Approximate dimensions: 14.75"w x 33"h. The cloth on the speakers is in very good condition except as shown in the last 4 photos: Cover on the left has a tiny defect above the"a" in the nameplate at the bottom. I almost declared that one perfect as it is almost unnoticeable. The cover on the right has the obvious tear on the upper left and a small pull a few inches below it. I ship FAST to 48 states only.
