Vintage Ukrainian Hand Plane- You are looking at a Vintage Ukrainian Hand Plane. The plane appears to be hand made. As there is no manufacturers stamp visible on either the Plane Body or the Iron. I have no idea of its age. It measures 10" long x 2 1/2" wide. The iron is 5 3/4" long x 2" wide, and 1/8" thick. It is in the unrestored condition, as it was when I purchased it from the Ukraine a couple of years ago. This would make a beautiful addition to any collection of vintage or antique hand tools. Back end and sides it is stamped“C.C WILLEY” On the front end it is stamped“HAINES& SMITH” with“PORTLAND” centered under that, and it is all enclosed in a box. It is 28 inches long, 3 5/8 on the top, and 3 inches on the side. The metal piece that shaves the wood(sorry I don’t know what it is called) is stamped in a circular print“HUMPHREYSVILLE MFG-CO” then below that is“WARRANTED CAST STEEL” I might be incorrect on the lettering abit as it is very hard to read) The only flaw is that the top part of the handle has cracked off in the past. Only a small piece. About 1 inch long by about 1/4 inch thick. It appears it was repaired with 4 old style nails at one time, but then split off just leaving the tops of the 4 nails. Mini Hand Plane (not Stanley)
Attached please find one(1) heavy 3 1/2" x 1 1/4" wide hand plane. It has a'BL' imprinted on the top sole and the iron is labeled'Craftsman' I have no idea of age and I did have to do a lot of work to clean this one up. These planes are originally painted gray primer color with red painted holder. This one had been very rusted when I got it and after removing the rust there was little to no paint left so I jappaned the body. Not original to this plane but it is a wonderful finish. This is true asphaltic. Baked on finish using a recipe from a 1913 Treatise on the subject. The cap is painted with standard red high heat engine paint and baked on as well. I'm not sure this unit ever had great value as a collector item but with the new finish. Cleaned and sharpened blade, it is a fabulous user plane. It has an ideal ... morefeel to it and good weight for use. It is definitely sized well to fit in your patch and handy to have when putting up trim or fitting filler strips to cabinetry. WW I Fighter Plane the SOPWITH - Inside Hand Painted Snuff Bottle SIGNED
Up for auction is a beautiful inside hand painted Chinese snuff bottle. Hand painted on the inside of the bottle between January 2000 and December 2002 by a master graduate artist from the Yizi Academy in China. Measuring 3 1/4 inches tall and seal signed by the master artist. Complete with a hand carved spoon attached to the inside removable agate stone top. The bottle comes from my Uncles private estate collection and were special ordered by the him. Usually only two of any scene were ever painted then the original picture was destroyed. Inside painted or sometimes called reverse painted bottles are beautiful masterpieces that are painstakingly done inside the bottle through the small opening at the top of the bottle. The artist takes a fine sliver of bamboo. Used as a paint brush, bends one end and applies the color of paint needed at ... morethat time. They then insert the bamboo sliver into the top of the bottle and paints on the glass inside the bottle. Hours and sometimes days go into a single painting. One mistake and the bottle is destroyed. The artwork is incredible to say the least. Capewell jack plane. 13 3/8" long 2 3/8" wide. Corrugated sole. 45° blade angle. Body and parts have some rust. Blade has some notching. The rear handle has a horizontal crack and is separated from the bottom part(see pics) This item is good for rebuilding. Stanley No. 6 Hand Plane - Very nice Stanley/Bailey Plane
Excellent example of a Stanley No. 6. This one came from the daughter of a fellow woodworker when he passed away. Looks like he started a bit of reconditioning. But it needs more work before being put in service. This would make an excellent daily worker, or a good candidate for full-on restoration. Tote and Handle are outstanding with no visible cracks and good finish. Body color is in good shape with very few blemishes Sole needs flattening and the original(I'm guessing) blade and chip breaker could stand replacing. Plane is compete, frog is in good shape, all screws and adjustment knobs are with it. Check my feedback and buy with confidence. This one's a dandy. NO INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS- LOWER 48 ONLY.

Stanley Bailey (#1), No. 1 Hand Plane - Sweetheart blade
You are bidding on a Stanley Bailey No. 1 smooth plane. These were manufactured from 1869-1943. I believe this plane to be circa 1930. Solid brass adjustment nut. Adjustment rod parallel to sole of plane, smooth bottom, all appropriate for a correct Stanley Bailey No. 1. The blade carries the Sweetheart ™ AA trademark and the blade was manufactured from 1922- 1935. Tote and knob are in very good condition. This plane is fully functional. Also included is a Lee Valley plane storage sack. This is silicon treated, knit cotton which resists moisture. VINTAGE HAND FORGED ROUND SCORP DRAWKNIFE CHAIR MAKING WOOD TOOL Circle Plane
Here we have a real find and that would be an authentic Hand Forged SCORP that is in EXCELLENT condition and sharp as a razor. This is the tool used to hollow out wood and in particular today popular with thoses that make wood cairs such as windsor chairs seats. Please note this is a REAL scorp that was made for this wowrk and not some box label remover. Has a round profile as you can see. Measures about 4 1/4 inch across the center. Blade is just over 1 inch wide. Is a double bevel edge with shallow bevels. Is polished and bright and the edge is VERY sharp. No damage such as pitting, roughness etc. Has been correctly sharpend. Only marking I can see are what looks like some numbers, looks like 226? Is very well forged/ Has its original matching turned handles that look to be maple. Handles are in EXCELLENT condition with no damage susch ... moreas cracks or splits. Both are tight to the blades tangs with no wiggle or movement.This is a beautiful example a hard to find scorp that is in Excellent condition and ready to be put to use and one that I know you will love.Starting auction off low with no reserve and as always actual postage charged depending on where you live[weighs just over 2 lbs boxed to ship]

Follows* Airplane Over Beacon* designed on a strictly one-of-a-kind FDC ABOUT THIS COVER The feature stamp on this hand drawn and hand painted FDC by the uniquely gifted Jack Follows is one of the PO's 1928 Airplane over Beacon in Ocean 5¢ air-mail stamp. Scott# C-11. About the cachet maker. Jack Follows* In the March 2009 issue of the Hobby publication. First Days( pages 57-58) The very informed and knowledgeable writer, David Zubatsky tells us that, The hand-drawn and hand painted add-on cachets by Englishman. Jack Follows( 1927-1997) are very popular with collectors. They do not appear in the marketplace very often. Follows was known for his cartoonlike cachets which combined the themes of women( sometimes nudes) Aviation, and comic characters. Each cachet was unique in design. About the actual feature stamp: of course. In 1928, ... moreair-mail stamps, were still in their infancy stage, relatively speaking. Still, the fact remains that C-11 was the very first air mail to feature an aircraft. in this case a single wing, single engine plane. soaring over ocean water, past a beacon. Also, it was the first stamp to have, what back then, was considered an odd shape with it's then-unique measurement of 1¼ inches by 1½ inches. But all that aside, it is one of the more attractive air mail stamps of its era,with its red borders causing the remaining imagery to stand out all the more prominently. Expertly hand drawn, and lavishing hand painted, all-over cachet, Mr. Follows conducts us on a tour of an early airplane facility, where a pair of biplanes seem to be coming in for a landing, while a gorgeous young lady certainly adds to this cover's visual appeal as she just leisurely strolls on the facility's very well-manicured lawn.
