1957 Flexible Flyer model 65H Airline Cruiser
I believe this vintage sled was manufactured in 1957. The H series Flexible Flyers were built from 1955 through 1959. This a a H series with a sub series K which puts it at 1957. The Airline Cruiser was made with a black metal bumper like this until 1957 and then received a chrome bumper. This is the largest Flexible Flyer sled that was made in the H series and is designed to carry four small people with the two sets of foot stirrups. I collect these sleds and this is the finest example of an H series sled I have ever seen. It spend much of it life in the arid west and is in near new condition. You will not find a nicer H series Airline Cruiser. The sled has all the original labeling intact and the finish is bright and clear. This sled is not in perfect condition but it is very very close. USA This sled has the number 44J on the underside(see photos) The decals are in good condition with the exception of the center front decal which is completely worn off. The Flexible flyer arrow decal runs 23 inches down the center top board and is clear; the super steering decal is in almost gone. There's still some red paint on the runners. The hardware is complete and intact. No broken. Bent or damaged pieces.
