This auction is for a lot of 3 Trilithic 860DSP Multi-Function Interactive Cable Analyzers for Parts/Repair! This came in with a bunch of other cable analyzers/checkers, etc. Most of the items that came in were in ... moreneed of repair, so these will be used for parts/repair only. All three units seem to be mostly there. One has a battery compartment plug that is missing and battery missing(see pic 11, middle unit) but besides that, all look to be pretty much there. The screens are intact and not broken. All keys are still there. I pushed the power button on all three, but none of them lit up. Could be the batteries are dead, or as in the case of the previous one, is missing the battery. I did take the back cover off the middle one(this one came in the soft case) because the tag said a new battery was installed, and there was a long white battery inside. Didn't pull of other covers because it was such a hassle with about 11 screws. These must have two battery packs, because there is one that comes out of the bottom where the circular battery plug is(picture 11) and there was one behind the back cover that is mounted and has a 3 prong connector that plugs into the device. I might be able to find a charger later and see if they at least light up. Until then, will be selling them as is. One unit(I think left one in first picture) had a work tag that said it won't power down, and MER feature

powers on. And I see all the stuff. all the options it can do for a cable tech. I am a former tech myself, but i didnt use this type. So I can say it works fine, but I personally dont know how to use the various readings it gives. I dont have the adaptor. So by the time you get it, you will likely need to charge it. they are online for about 45 dollars. THis pic shows it lit up, and the images dont show very well at all on the pic, because the battery is getting low. So you will need that for sure. If you get this, you might as well buy the cable as well, unless you have one.

The fine item you are considering is a Trilithic 860dsp Multi Function Interactive Cable Analyzer Meter Needs Work. I have lots of photos below. So be sure to scroll down to the bottom of this page to take a better look. This high quality cable analyzer will need some work, but not too much I wouldn’t think. The problem is that the small round cover that holds the lower battery pack in place has busted off and the batteries won’t stay firmly inside the unit. When I hold the battery pack in the unit with my fingers and apply constant pressure, I can get the unit to power up, with the display displaying, moving through different screens and eventually looking for a modem. It will then shut off if I hold down the power button, so it looks like if you can get that battery compartment sealed up, you’d be on your way. Oh, don’t make the mistake ... moreof powering up the meter without having your hand applying pressure to the batteries, because if you do, sometimes it sort of powers up and shuts down and then continues through that cycle until it shuts down itself many minutes later(note, this will not happen with the batteries firmly in place) The meter does not come with a charger, and shows plenty of wear from lots of use, with scuffing on the screen and paint loss, but it’s not that bad overall(see photos) and the screen is quite readable. Since the meter will need work, I’m selling it“as is” although I will guarantee it to be as I have described above. Please see my photos below to have a look at this nice item.
