Exact item shown. This was built before 1959, there is a GD inventory tag on it for 1966, and a calibration tag for Jan 1981. These units feature a metalized glass attenuating element. I measured the waveguide internal dimensions to be 22X47mm, which puts this right in the middle of S band(3.19 Ghz) in a frequency range consistent with maritime use(this must have been used in support of the naval base in San Diego) It is in very nice physical condition, I don't have any test equipment suitable for verifying it, but there isn't much that can go wrong with a waveguide- the attenuation adjustment and the dial indicator operate smoothly, the glass element moves as it is supposed to.
