Vtg Fibre Metal Full Face Welding Mask/Helmet Tigerhood Flip Up Lens Steampunk Description: Up for sale is this estate rescued Fibre Metal Tigerhood No 906 full face welding mask or helmet! This helmet is in great vintage condition and shows the scars of lots of use on the surface from continued exposure and scratches. There is a crack in the lower section of the mask as seen in the photos to the left along with some tape from previous cracks. This mask has a flip up visor. This helmet includes a clear protective lens that has lots of pitting and debris from use and a dark welding lens along with 2 spacers and a spring to hold the lenses in place. This piece still has the original headband which has a rotating knob to adjust the size. The size adjusts from about 6 3/4" across to about 8 3/4" across to fit any head size! This PAPR setup was used on 3 or 4 jobs then I found I really only needed a regular mask for my work. Everything pictured is included. 3M Speedglas 9002x Mask with tinted side windows. HE Particulate filter. 2 extra shields. OV/SD/CL/HC vapor cartridge. Both filters are relatively new and show full or second to full flow on the flow indicator. Battery and charger. Battery is in good shape and will take and hold a full charge. The mask shows some wear and scratches however otherwise it's in excellent shape. No burns or tears on the cloth inside the mask or out. This mask was never used for grinding. It's very clean.

Vtg Jackson Fiberglass Welding Mask Helmet Fibre Metal Steampunk Flip Up Lens Description: Up for sale is this estate rescued Jackson Products welding mask or helmet! This piece has been fitted with a Fibre-Metal 3-C Adjustable Headband so that it can be worn without a helmet. This helmet was very dirty when we recovered it. It has cleaned up well and appears to be in working order. The dark welding lens is mounted in a bakelite holder and flips up and stays up. The dark section consists of 3 lenses; 2 clear and one dark. One of the clear lenses has a gasket attached. All of the lenses have some scratches with some dark discoloration around the edges but they are still good visually. Inside the flip section is an additional clear lens to protect the wearer when the outer shield is flipped up. This lens has some minor scratching. But is not ... morecracked. The hold down spring has minor surface corrosion as seen in the photos. There are two thumb screws on either side to set the tension that allows the whole mask to be held up when raised. The fiberglass pattern is very pronounced on the outside of the mask giving it a very cool look! The outside of the flip up section is marked“Jackson” Inside the mask is marked“Jackson Products Inc USA” We don't see any cracks or breaks in the outside fiberglass or the bakelite lens holder. There are some red marks on the outside of the mask as shown in the photos. This may have been some artwork done by the original owner. This mask measures 13" tall x 8 1/4" across the side x 7 3/4" from back edge to the front of the lens holder. This is a very cool old helmet! Thank You! Up for auction: Very Rare antique Welding Mask Steam punk. This Mask has Rivets all along the top and bottom. The steel encased glass eye front is also riveted. I could not find one exactly like this that has sold on here in recent months. Similar ones were from the 1930's and 1940's. There are no markings or branding anywhere on the helmet so I could not date the mask. The mask has scratches and dents from normal use and storage. Also. As you can see in the pictures, the stainless steel around the eye front has heavy scratches. Overall this is a great antique piece with a lot of character. The mask is still functional. The eyepieces are both functional and in good shape(with original glass) This one is a little different than most masks. As it has a leather neck guard in place. Honestly, I know nothing about welding and I only use this mask for a Halloween outfit last year. The lenses are a bit scratched up and dirty and if you would like to use this for a functional helmet you might want to replace those. The adjustable size knob still works and flips fine, please enlarge my photos to get a better idea of overall condition. Measures a little over 13.5" long& could use a proper cleaning as well.
