One set of vintage 5 pound scale calibration weights. The wooden box is worn and the bottom has been replaced. The weights do not have a name on them and some of the chrome is coming off. Under the chrome looks like brass. The weights are 4- 1 pounds, 1- 8 ounce, 1- 4 ounce, 1- 2 ounce, 1- 1 ounce, 1- 1/2 ounce and 2- 1/4 ounces weights.

RL Scales 1930 4 point Scale processor strain gage load cell
Scale electronics unit used with 4 100kg load cells(see my other auction) Board has Zilog Z180. Atmel FLASH, 232 RAM and a shielded can with presumably ADC and low noise amplifiers. Should be possible to reprogram to do whatever you want it to do if you like programming Z180's. I powered one of these up and it was flashing LEDs but not talking on 232 in spite attempts to communicate with it. Central pin on power connector is negative.

It is Oahus part number 76159-00 and includes 30. 150, 300, 500, and 1000 gram calibration weights. All weights are in excellent shape. I weighed each weight on my rather nice A&D 1200.0 gram scale(not furnished by my employer) and each was dead on( within.05 grams) The accuracy rating is NBS Class P(ASTM Class 4) which is“designed for routine analytical work in the scientific or technical laboratory” That’s slightly better than OIML IR Class M1 and definitely good enough for the girls we date! The weight tolerance for each weight is shown in the picture. I find that a calibration weight between 80 and 100% of the capacity of your scale works very well. For sale is a vintage scale calibration weight set. Complete, in original wood box. Set was made in Germany as marked on the bottom of the box for the Geo L Claflin Company in Providence, RI. Comes with the following weights: 50 grams(x1) 20 grams(x2) 10 grams(x1) 5 grams(x1) 2 grams(x2) and 1 gram(x1) Smaller flat weights include: 500 mg(x1) 200 mg(x2) 50 mg(x1) and several others with just one number on them, one with a 4 and two with a 2. Good looking set. Nicely designed brass tweezers and good patina on the weights. Not sure if screws/latches are original but they close the box well.
