The incised stamps on the underside of the brim have the name and patent numbers. The webbing/head-band. Which adjusts is fully removable. The leather has some wear as it should since the helmet is used. The outside of the helmet exhibits some wear; scratches, dings, marks and a small dent(see scan-6)otherwise this helmet is in super nice condition. The Sunoco logo looks to be just a sticker and I can't say if this was actually used on a refinery or oil plant. The opposite end has the owners initials painted on. This old American Bridge Company ironworker's tool belt is in incredible condition! The leather is supple. There is a brass tag which reads Strauss Co. Serial no. 23291 No AB-CO Date 8/40. The back of the buckle is stamped TESTED 4066. There is an additional hole punched near end(see picture 4) The leather is 42" x 2" The beckett is 8 3/8" x 5 1/4"

Vintage Clayton Lambert Lead Melting Furnace/Stove/Smelter Gasoline
Works but needs work as the main shut off valve doesn't close quite tight and the pump also needs work. You can not pump it up fast as when you go to pull the pump handle out there is a vacuum as it is not leaving the new air. You need to pull the pump out slowly and give it a chance for the new air to get in there then push it back in fast once the new air is there. If you wiggle it a little as you are pulling it out the new air gets in quicker. I believe the rubber seal/stop on the end of the pump has hardened and is supposed to collapse some on the back pull and leave the air in and it doesn't. Also the main valve does not quite shut tight and when you go to shut it off there remains a tiny flame burning. With it not shuitting tight and taking so long to pump up it runs a little gasoline out as you are pumping and then when you ... morego to fire it up you have a huge flame from the spilled gasoline on top of the burner. The little flat ended flame adjuster valve seems to work as when it is turned fully clockwise the flame shoots mostly up the center of the internal coil and when you turn it counter clockwise it widens the flame to go around the sides of the flame. I don't know for sure if that is what is supposed to do but that is what it does. Last there is no handle on it but the handle nobs are there. It has some rust but I don't see anything chipped.Cracked or broken. Also the flame was rather smokey but I used the gas that was in it and it was old and stinky when I dumped it out for shipping. 17b4d 17/17/16/4d s.Be a smart shopper and click on the all details link at the shipping cost portion of the page. You are bidding on a Set of 4 Audels Masons and Builders Guides 1924 Books As you can see from the photos these books are in very good condition and have a copyright date of 1924. Book#2 has two pages(pg.331& pg. 506) that have very small tears. I have not found any other flaws in any of the others. I have listed as used but if they were it was very little. The bookends are not included. Measurements approximately 4-3/4' wide and 6-5/8' tall. All of the bindings and spines are in very good condition. These are really great comprehensive books and would be a great addition to your collection.

The brown leather chin strap makes this a unique find and a cool addition to any collection. Doesn't look to have been worn much. Fiberglass shell has some discoloration. And a small chip in the gelcoat. Previous owner appears to have applied some white paint here. Stickers inside are faded out, but present. Suspension is in very good to excellent condition. Completely intact. Slight stiffening of sweatband. Attached leather chin strap is in pretty good condition, pliable, with some slight cracking, scuffs, and discoloration of the buckle. I do not know the date of manufacture. But due to leather chin strap, I'm guessing 1960's. There are orange/brown rectangles on four sides and two letters and a cross in the front that are composed of two colors of paint. Helmet is in great shape with no dents. See photos. Also including a vintage VSW adjustable helmet liner which looks hardly used. I am not sure if this liner fits this helmet but they were found together. Hundreds of 35mm Slides of Road Construction Equipment - Late 1950's
This is a large group made up entirely of pictures of road construction equipment. Slides are a mix of Kodachrome and Ektachrome and probably other films. The bulk of them ere taken from around 1955 to 1961. Unfortunately there are no descriptions of where any of them were taken. From what I can tell they were probably taken in Connecticut. Not all are over all views of the equipment. About a third of them are detail and close up pictures of the equipment and another third are pictures of diagrams, some brochure covers and so on. So many of these have well dressed men in the pictures it looks as if who ever took them might have been evaluating the machines for possible purchase. Note how no one in any of these pictures is wearing protective gear, helmets or otherwise. Also it seems that road graders back in the 50s had one or two bulldozers ... morepushing from behind. This is good lot and to be honest in all my years of collecting slides these are the only ones of construction equipment I have ever come across and a stash like this is quite remarkable. I can only add 12 pictures so I have picked some of the more interesting ones.

This loader is a rear wheel turn system. I have found another planetary gear system however this gentleman wants to sell his whole loader which is the same model but the engine is bad. The wheel bearing went out on mine and busted up the planetary gears so all of the brass gears are bad. The bucket is 9 feet across from inside to inside. 1993 Ford 555C Extend-a-Hoe Backhoe In Clifford Township PA
Located in Clifford Township PA. I am selling my 1993 Ford. 555c extend a hoe backhoe. What separates this machine from all others out there is that it has spent ALL of its non working days protected, in a garage. The condition is magnificent! When I purchased this machine, it was from the original owner. I then sent it out to a Ford tractor Dealer to have everything gone over. I spent a little over $5000.00 to have all parts replaced that had visible wear. The machine came back running and looking like new. Since I have owned it(about 15 years) I have had absolutely NO problems. It comes with a 12 inch and 24 inch bucket. The diesel runs perfectly and everything functions as it should. The machine has approximately 6k hours on it but not to worry. The records that came with the machine told me that the previous owner must have spent all ... moreof his money on oil changes. The list went on and on! The rear tires are new also. I am asking but a fraction of what this machine would sell for new in today's market.
