ACG Ultrafiltration System
We are looking to sell a used water filtration system. This has been used for approximately 12 years, in a manufacturing environment, with parts being replaced periodically. The filter membrane was replaced in November 2012, cost was $4025.00. This unit was originally purchased from ACG Technologies in Mississauga/Woodbridge. By my estimate at around 2001 or 2002. Introduction[as taken from user manual] The ACG Ultrafiltration system is designed to remove oil and other contaminants from water. Oily water in the sump is pumped into a 500 US gallon cone bottom holding tank to allow solids to settle. The sump pump is operated manually by the operator using a ball valve on the air line to the pump. An actuated ball valve drains wastewater automatically into a separation tank. The valve operation is controlled by a level switch in the tank. At ... morelow level. The valve opens to fill the tank, and closes at high level, allowing free floating oil to be skimmed off into the slotted separation tank skimmer. Level switches in the process tank of the ultrafiltration system control a 1/2" air operated diaphragm pump to transfer wastewater to the process tank. The pump is mounted on top of the separation tank. When the level in the process tank is at the low level switch for refiling. The transfer pump comes on. When the liquid level reaches the high level switch, the pump stops automatically, stopping the slow of water into the tank. Water enters the tank by passing through a bag filter. A recirculation pump sends the fluid through the ultrafiltration membrance. The clean permeate(filtrate from the ultrafilter) exits toa carbon polisher before water is discharge to the sanitary sewer. The concentrate(rejected portion is returned to the process tank for further processing. Concentrated dirty solution can be pumped out from the prcoess tank for disposal. there is also a cleaner tank incorporated into the unit for periodic cleaning of the membrane. A flowmeter installed in the permate piping indicates the flowrate in US gallons
