New Logic VSEP L/P Vibratory Filtration Unit (Vibrating Filter)
This is a New Logic VSEP(Vibratory Shear Enhanced Processing) L/P unit. The basic concept is that of a vibratory filter. The membranes are prevented from fouling by harmonic motion of the filter stack on a stalk oscillated by a 2hp Baldor motor controlled by a Woods VFD. The filter stack can be configured in either"L" Lab) mode with one membrane or"P" Prototype) mode with 19 membranes. The L mode is great for testing since a single membrane can be purchased from New Logic for about $10 and range from reverse osmosis thru nanofiltration thru microfiltration. We also used the P mode to scale up our process which was a fermentation where we were separating out the yeast and recirculating the broth. The literature suggests that you can get more than 1 gpm in this mode. But we generally got less since we were using a fairly ... moretight membrane. Your mileage may vary! The unit is no longer in use, but can be fired up for demo for a serious buyer. Serial number is 374. The main pump is a Hydracell D10 driven by a 3hp motor controlled by a ABB VFD. All plumbing and controls shown are included. We also have a number of membranes, but they have been sitting a while and I cannot guarantee their functionality.
