Hewlett Packard 54510A Digital Oscilloscope - 250MHz - 1GSa/s - 2 Channels
An oldie. But a goodie! Nice bandwidth and sample rate, with a whole host of measurement and test features. All the self tests passed. And I ran all the self cals except the time nulls, which I skipped since I don't have two equal-length BNC cables; so I left those two running with defaulted cals(see pic) I hooked it up to my function generators and got nice traces and measurements that agreed with my other scopes to within a percent on both the time base and voltage for both channels. I've tested it for a couple 6+ hour stretches to check the stability. And it's good to go. This scope in very nice overall shape. All the hardware is complete and in good repair. Aside from stickers/residue. It's free of any major defects. The screen is bright and sharp, and I can't find any sign of burn-in. You are bidding on a pair of Tektronix 475 Dual Trace 200 MHZ scopes and high frequency Tektronix probe 6137. One scope is working. One is not. The working scope is shown in pictures 1-8, the non-working scope powers up but has no display, it is shown in picture 10. Both have a cover and the good scope has a lead bag. The P6137 probe(400 MHZ) is included and tested good, compensator screw is working also. Tested both channels with the self calibration on the scope. Then checked both channels with a Fluke 515A calibrator. 1 VDC gives 2 divisions at.5 v per division. 1 VAC gives 1.4 division PEAK at 1 v/division. All satisfactory. The sawtooth is 10MHZ from a Wavetek 21. Both scopes are cosmetically nice with no marking or permanent labels. It has also escaped the rigors of being powered up on the bench day after day which eventually takes its toll on the CRT. I have not seen a 400 series scope in this condition in years. The display is bright and very crisp. It comes with two P6105 probes and the probe manual. It has the original operators manual and a full size printed copy of the service manual in two volumes.
