Up for auction is a rare antique Georgian/ Victorian necklace with a pretty gem embellished hand clasp. The necklace is made of woven 15k gold or pinchbeck- I cannot remember exactly what the metal content is. The hand features a small emerald ring and a ruby or garnet floral cuff. Please note the mesh has been compressed in some areas and the gold has tarnished in a few places. I will leave cleaning to the new owner. Regardless of this minor issue. Is still a wonderful and rare wearable piece of jewelry history. I am being conservative and calling the piece Georgian/ Victorian, although I bought is as Georgian dated 1840-1860. Alright, let's start with the ring, it looks like a rose gold or copper ring, it is not marked as to maker or metal used, it does have what appears to be a Tribel style engraving of a Bird and Fish, ring seems like a size 6, but is adjustable, next is a Choker that was made by an American Indian from the Walla Walla, Washington State Penitentiary Prison in 2001, it is 13" from rounded leather strap from one side to the other, with tie strap included it measures 42 1/2" long. Next is an Arrow Head made of some kind of black stone that is like glass, it is sharp, it is about 1 1/2" long and at it's widest point is a little over 1" Next is a Medicine Feather I was given at The same Prison's Tribal exhibition ... morewhere the Native American Indians from different Tribes made there style of tribal food and performed tribal drumming and Native dance. I was told his Aunt was a Medicine Woman and that she had crafted the"Medicine Feather" and he was"Gifting" this to me, A few weeks later I received a letter explaining the"Gift" and why it was"Given" I was told you cannot get a medicine feather, it must be"Given" to you. I'm no expert but that's the story. This Medicine Feather is 12" long bent. The Bead design is 2" long and 3/8" wide. The Choker was made by this man. Next is another necklace with stone animals and a turquoise bird that is 10 1/2" long, the next item is a Tribal Bird pin, I'm not sure what it is made of, it is almost 1 1/2" long by 1 3/4" wide. Native American Choker Necklace - Montana
A very nice Choker Necklace. Purchased from a Montana Pawn Shop on the Crow reservation. The necklace consists of gold tube beads. White and orange pony beads decorate the thick white leather spacers. To show off the 1 1/4" gold tube beads. The ties are made of orange pony beads also. Old Ottoman? Middle Eastern Choker Dangling Chiming Bead Necklace
This gorgeous choker necklace is Middle Eastern and I believe to be Old Ottoman or Ottoman style. Metal content is unknown. The choker has dangling beads that chime with movement. The design from end to end is 11" One end of the necklace with the spring ring clasp measures 3 1/2" and the opposite end measures 11" I am not sure if some chain has been added since there is some gold tone chain in between the silver chain.
