You are viewing a used Braden brand winch I have for sale. It is a model AHU7-16F. I bought this from a electric company that bought it new. Installed on a truck bumper. The truck was wrecked and I bought it for the winch. I installed it on a little Caterpillar D4 bulldozer and it worked great, but was really too big for the machine so I replaced it with a smaller one. It really is a smooth working and powerfull winch. There is a tag on the end of the winch that reads that it has a maximum pull of 20.000 pounds with a bare drum and 9,500 pounds with a full drum of cable. It is hydraulic driven so it is really easy to mount wherever needed. There is a handle on it that allows you to freespool the drum so you can pull out the cable by hand if needed. The handle was cracked and we had it welded and it works fine- see photo. This is a nice heavy ... moreduty winch. I can ship it to you on a pallet- email me for a quote. The picture is that of a Saconney-Delahaye Balloon winch car from 1915. Balloons were used for reconnaissance purposes during the First World War and were winched by various vehicles from horse drawn to that of early automobiles such as this 1915 Delahaye truck. Jacques-Theodore Saconney was a Senior French Army General. For sale is this very large Electric winch. This is from my families now closed tugboat business. The winch is a single drum. Use of 440 Volt electric for the drive motor. FALK inline gearbox from electric motor to the drum gear. The winch has not been used for a few years. Drum is ready for any size cable to be spooled. This monster weighs 6.200lbs. The framework and footprint is about 6'x6'x5'Tall. This was used while loading open hopper barges with 2600 tons of sand. I have other rigging, shackles, sheaves, block, slings, chain, and turnbuckles that are no longer of use to us.
