Vintage Bottle Clear Glass 4 1/2" Stopper with Rubber Gasket
I am not sure about the authenticity of this bottle. But it does appear to be old. There is a plastic stopper with a rubber gasket. The gasket has cracks, but does work. There is residue inside the neck(brown spot in photo) and residue in the bottom, but I do not detect a smell. It has embossed diamonds around one large diamond on one side(reminds me a a Tabasco bottle) Looks like a 2 stamped on the bottom.

Handle also detaches from rod, but still calling it a 1-piece. There is some pitting residue on the handle, and a minor amount on guides as shown in photos. Also, the rod has a minor brownish tackle bait or other stain above the first guide, not sure what it is exactly but pictured for your reference. 6 Vintage SEALTITE Hard Rubber Bathroom Sink Tub Plug Stopper Hardware Steampunk
These six bathroom drain plugs/stoppers came from the estate of a plumber who practiced his trade during the early/mid 1900s. In those days you kept everything you replaced but these may very well be new old stock and may have never been used. Five of the pieces are signed" SEALTITE" and all have metal rings. Three of these are marked 1 3/8" and two read 1 1/4" The measurement along the top of the sides that taper as they approach the bottom. The last piece does not have a metal ring and is not signed, but it is marked" 1 3/8" This piece may have been previously used because there is a crack that looks like it was pulled from the ring and the sides show some dry cracks( see close-up photo) All pieces appear to be hard rubber. This bottle stopper is marked"Hires Root Beer" It is made of cast iron. Steel, and rubber. When you tighten the wing nut, the rubber is supposed to get compressed and increase in girth, tightly sealing the bottle; however the rubber has hardened. If the wing nut were tightened, the rubber would probably split. This piece is 2- 1/8" long. 1- 3/4" wide, and fits a 3/4" opening. Except for the hardened rubber, it is in very good condition. This is an old Wyeth eye wash bottle. The top is also glass with a rubber like stopper. When I was looking for flaws on the bottle& stopper I noticed some writing on the top of the rubber lip that sits on top of the bottle. With a magnifying glass I see it is embossed or stamped Insert Wet. I suppose that is true with all of the stoppers.I just never noticed it before. And I am just selling some of my husbands old collectibles. So I am not a collector of old bottles. The bottle looks real clean to me.maybe a few tiny scratches. The eye wash cup seems to have a scratch or two or maybe it was made that way. The rubber have no tears or holes. 1 has the name"Bulldog-EKCO Pat. 2446661" On the main part has"Press down" on part where you would push your thumb. When you push down on the stopper, the end of the rubber shows a little dry/cracking. The other stopper shows a little surface rust, has no name or markings on it. Antique Vintage Beverage Bottle w/ Gem Stopper Rubber Cork Wire Bale
Interesting collection of bottles Price is for one bottle. Multiple bottles available. This is an old Beverage bottle with a wire bale stopper. The bottle is white in color. The bottom has an embossed number on most. Each bottle has some air bubbles caught in the glass along with ripples on the neck or side. There are additional imperfections on the inside of the bottles(waviness) I am not an expert. Please ask questions. The bottle has a wire bale closure that holds a black rubber stopper in place. The bale is rusty and the stopper has hardened with age. Some bottles do not close completely. The bale will close just enough to hold the stopper in place and prevent slipping.
