Aunt Jemima Advertising Plastic Spice jar Shaker Cinnamon F&F Mold & die works
This is a vintage Promotional premium from Aunt Jemima. There was several premiums produced ranging from the very common salt and pepper shakers to the rare pieces like this one which is a spice jar. Made in red plastic by F&F Mold& Die Works the shaker comes in two pieces. The top lid seperates at Jemima's waist and the apron is decorated with the name of the spice it was intended to hold, in this case it is Cinnamon which is one of the more common shakers in the set. Bear in mind that the housewife had to collect her tokens and then purchase the rack and each spice shaker separately from each other which made it difficult for a whole set to be obtained. This shaker does have some paint loss and on her apron it looks like two small cracks in the plastic and this shows in the paint. The stopper in the inside with the shaker holes ... morehas discolored from use, the cinnamon has made it a yellowish brown color. VINTAGE- RETRO GLASS SHAKER JAR Up for auction is a Vintage Hazel Atlas Shaker Bottle/ Jar. This cute little clear glass shaker jar is marked HAZEL ATLAS on the bottom along with 5051 and F 8. This Shaker Jar has a unique shape. it is approximately 6" high and has a sculpted ribs around the bottom of the jar on all sides about 1 1/4" up from the bottom. The Shaker Jar has a RED ribbed plastic lid that screws on/off. and the lid is marked SAMAE. I believe the lid is the original lid. The Shaker and lid is in gently-used nice shape with no cracks. Chips or damage and the glass is nice and clear. This Shaker Jar would make a great addition to your Vintage Collection. I believe this could also be a Laundry Shaker. not really sure. This old plastic jar was made to hold parts made by General Electric. The cover is made of blue plastic and has the"GE" logo in raised relief. The bottom of the jar is marked with the Logo"GE 125" with raised figures and is a smoke colored plastic. The lid is 2 1/2 inches in diameter and 5/8 of an inch high.
