This piece is very special for its intricately made design. That is both delicate, and very bold and striking when worn. The craftsmanship and detail in the piece is evident. The necklace has wonderful color, with natural turquoise stones, that are inset along the entire necklace. The largest stones measure 3mm in diameter and the smallest stones are a bit bigger ... morethan 1mm in diameter. The turquoise ranges in color from a bright robin's egg blue to darker shades of green so the necklace has a texture and subtle contrast from stone to stone. The maltese cross at the bottom in particular, has carefully cut and set turquoise stones, that range in size and shape getting narrower towards the center- its so well done that it looks almost like snakeskin. The charming heart has a slightly puffy shape but the necklace is all flat at the back so the necklace lays very flush and frames your neckline when worn. The pendant dangles freely from the chain which gives the necklace a subtle amount of movement and sway when worn. There are no turquoise stones missing, the necklace is very dense without any signs of replaced stones(they all look original to the piece) and they all have a nice sheen without and chipping or surface wear. The gold setting is well made, even though the piece is delicate(it weighs 17 grams) it is very sturdy and wearable.
