It takes on the shape and detail of the mold. Northwoo ds Grape and Cable B erry Bo wl! Scarce blue with the thumbprint exterior. The outside has some great blue s and some purples. The bowl measures about 4 7/ 8" across and 2" tall. Condition: I have not found any chips. Cracks, or repairs! There is a little roughness on the b ase mold seam. Please look over the pictures carefully! As with all antique glass there may be some imperfections including: bubbles. Straw marks, cold shear marks, inclusions and even a little roughness on the mold seams etc. Remember the item is 100 years old! I will call anything I find to be a concern or any imperfection I feel may be a concern. It has the signature N deep in the center of the bowl. This piece is an amethyst purple with an almost butterscotch hue on the bowl when held up to the light. There is a gorgeous red. Blue, and green rainbow inside the bowl. Not electric and bright. But a really beautiful iridescence. The compote has been used and shows normal wear for a compote this age. But it is in great condition, free of chips and cracks. This compote stands 5 3/8” tall and has a bowl width of approx 7” The amethyst purple stem has six panels which slope upwards into the bowl. Antique Northwood "Bushel Basket" Blue Carnival Iridescent Art Glass Vase
Just think how long this little bushel basket has been around! At least 100 years? We certainly believe so. As the classic Northwood logo is present on the inside bottom of the piece. The prismatic colors that appear when light hits it are dominated by gold, but has some blues and pastels. This piece has definitely traveled, as it has the scars of its life to prove it. Consult the last 4 pictures for what appears to be professional restoration of some breaks on the basket handles; otherwise we do not see any other chips, cracks or other imperfection not attributable to manufacture. Vintage Cast Iron PINK/CRANBERRY Slag Glass Table/Desk Lamp 6 Panels Squirrels
Absolutely beautiful vintage cast iron& slag glass table lamp. This could be used on a table. Desk, or night stand. It measures 18.5" tall to the top of the acorn finial. The shade measures aprox. 14" wide. Lamp weighs 6.5 pounds. It has 6 lovely cranberry/pink& white swirl panels. Not very often do you see the pink swag glass. Each panel has two squirrels sitting in the corners. The base of the lamp has what looks like a tree or leaf design. Lamp works great. The glass is in good condition. It was pretty dusty when I got it. I did clean it a bit, but you might what to wipe it down more. The metal has a bit of wear on the top(see 7th pic) I do not think the finial is the original one. There is also a legit seal of"Fenton" on the inside of the vase as well. The Fenton company began adding their logo to the bottom of their products in the 1970's to distinguish them from older pieces. There is some very interesting and unique art around the vase itself. B/6- this sale is for 1 glass at a time an authentic early 19th century, White Wine Glass made between 1800 and 1830 a funel shaped. Faceted bowl, on a stem with 2 bladed knops. A plain foot with polished-out pontil the 2 knops gave a firm grip. Handy in a time(circa 1820) that there was not much silverware on the tables, so one could have greasy fingers we have messured some and found heights between 11.6- 11,9 cm. 4.6- 4.7 inch weights between 101- 124 gram each probably not one is exactly the same as the other. They can differ slightly in height, weight, form and color, because they are all hand made before the industrialisation period and have been collected over many years and places! condition: very good- no chips. It is my artist idea of a beautiful hen. Not factory stained. Indiana never created an Amberina hen on nest, but I thought it would make a very beautiful hen, so I created one. Even more beautiful in full sunlight and no two are ever the same. A lot of work went into creating her. Hen is in excellant condition. Once finished, I placed a clear protective coating over her and with proper care she will keep looking good for a long time. I have sold quite a few of these beautiful hens in the past to collectors who wanted one for their glass hen displays. All my hens that I do artist work on. Ca. 1920s(Art Deco) The piece is in good antique condition in my opinion with normal wear present for its age. Present is on back brooch pin with open-c clasp, which works. This delightful Vintage Black Amethyst Vase has a lovely hand painted Lily of the Valley floral design along with three red flowers on the front of the vase. It has NO CHIPS or CRACKS and no markings or labels. It dates from around the 1930s and done in a black amethyst glass and when held to light it shines dark purple. I am unsure if this was made by the Louis Glass Company or Fenton. However, either way it is a pretty little vase. It measures about 5 1/4" tall and is about 2 1/8" round in diameter at the mouth of the vase and the base is 1 7/8" round in diameter. And a boat scene with buildings in the background on the other side, with silver-tone along neck. No identifying marks so we are uncertain as to maker, age, or origin. Measures 7" tall x 4" diameter at bottom and 1-1/2" diameter at top. This is a used piece of vintage glassware and is not like brand new. No chips or cracks. But there's a small, 1/16" round pit mark on the silver-tone overlay portion on the neck of the bottle. Several light but visible scratches to top rim, and light scratches inside and out consistent with light use and handling.
