I guess my search technique has improved. This time when I decided it was time for it to go I actually turned up a few other similar items. Seems like some sort of VHF. Maybe UHF filter, but looks like it might also have some application on the ham radio side of the equation as well. However. This particular model, the 4023, I don’t see anything about it specifically. The label says about what I have said in the title. But does expand on that with the bandwidth. Unfortunately the label has taken a bit of a hit there so all you can read is 450-X70 MC. It looks like the first number of the second set of three might also be a 4. So maybe 450-470 MC ... moreif that makes any sense. The unit is old enough for the frequency to be expressed in megacycles instead of megahertz. As the transition to honoring Mr. Hertz had already begun when I took high school physics in the early 70’s. It must certainly predate that. The body of the tubes or canisters or whatever you want to call them is no doubt made from copper. You can see it where the finish has come off. None of them are museum pieces. They all have scuffs, scratches, nicks and dings. Nothing major but if that in some way affects their performance then something you need to be aware of.
