The sizes are graduated as shown in(FIG 3. 4& 5) Each lance slides inside its own silver cannula tube. This in in a teloscoping fashion with each fitting into the next. All then fit inside the Pen/Case(the cannula tube is missing for the next to smallest lance) All components are solid silver with the exception of the smallest lance and the three sided lance tips. Each of the trocar lances screw individually into the longest half of the outer pen/case as in(FIG 5) Also if you study the end of the lance in(FIG 6)this photo. You can see that portion of the lance that is not solid silver and where it connects to the lance. This is a very nice piece that would make a desired addition to any vintage medical instrument collection. The condition is great without dents or dings. I am sure you would not be disappointed.
