Most are in original boxes, some have been"restored" by my Dad so he could read the titles, Those he really liked have"STARS" Those are the ones he liked the best. For awhile my Dad had some of his better rolls professional re cut and they called( the label) Golden Age" Most of this collection are RAGS and BLUES. These re cuts are all on Hi quality paper of the same type the original rolls had and they truly play like the original rolls. I will list which of these are re cut. He did these in the 1980’s. He received his medical degree from the University of Vermont in 1860, and practiced medicine at Bellevue Hospital in New York City. Baxter was commissioned surgeon in the 12th Massachusetts Infantry, on June 26, 1861, and was transferred out on April 4, 1862, when he was appointed brigade surgeon in the U.S. Volunteers Medical Staff. During the siege of Yorktown, and in the battles of Hanover Court House, and Fair Oaks, Va. he was constantly in the field establishing field hospitals and seeing that ambulances and provisions were on hand being under fire most of the time.
