I am offering this vintage item on behalf of a friend. In a word. The Ledger was found in an upstairs cupboard which hadn't been touched for years. The front and back covers are about 1.5cm in thickness. Inside there is an A-Z Index with the tabs looking to be covered in leather with appropriate gold-blocking on each of the tabs. The covers are'tied together' with canvas-type straps. There are plenty of account sheets throughout the A-Z listing. There are several handwritten entries on various sheets. The'locking-key' is inplace thus allowing the ledger to be sealed and not seen by snoopers. Exactly how old this item is remains a puzzle. However, it is certainly a part of our history which is worth capturing by interested parties. Genuine offer.

Up for auction or buy-it-now is this awesome find from The Bryant Electric Company. It comes complete with original box. It's a single pole shallow type. Model 5501-L for locking. This switch was manufactured by The Bryant Electric Company between the years 1888 and 1901. In 1901 the name was changed to Bryant Electric after it was sold to Westinghouse and became a subsidiary of that company. This is truly a great find and a wonderful piece of electrical history! The switch is in perfect condition with no chips. Scratches or cracks of any kind. The images show some light staining of the porcelain; but holding it in your hand, it looks clean. The discoloration is enhanced by the camera and the magnification. It's free of scratches and discoloration. Vintage locking liquor decanter holder Made in Italy Wooden with metal hinges/hardware Holds 3 liquor decanters Top carrying handle slides towards back once lock is removed from side to access decanters. Very heavy duty glass decanters and stoppers. 2 of the 3 stoppers have minor chips on part that goes into decanter(see photo) Handles are in very good condition. There are no markings on the decanters to show how much volume they hold. They are 3 1/2 inches wide and about 6 inches tall to neck and made of fairly thick glass. Wooden carrying piece is over 14 inches long. 11 inches tall, and 5 1/2 inches deep. There are some scratches on this piece from where handle slides down to rest against it while open(see photo) All the hardware is secure and intact. Key operates as it should. Only marking on wooden piece is a"made in Italy" ... morebranding on bottom as seen in photo. There is also some minor dust build up in some of the nooks and crevises of this piece and I would rather sell it as-is than to use a'wrong' cleanser on this vintage unit. Antique Locking Bar Set Holder Brass & Wood Lock & key
Unusual piece. I believe this is an old bar set holder for locking up bottles or decanters of booze! The brass is in good condition and is stamped on the bottom back piece( 33) The lock is also stamped with the# 4. The overall height is 11" x 17" handle to handle. inside it measures 3 5/8" x 11 1/8" Inside bottle height is 9 1/2" inside the brass cage! Lock and key work well but the key has a little rust or tarnish. There are a few worm holes and another hole inside that appears to be man made(drilled aprox 1/4"along the right side. We have up for auction a clean classic Smith Corona Sterling Typewriter with locking hard case. This typewriter has been stored away in a closet for at least the last 30 years. It was purchased from a couple that decided they wanted to start downsizing. It’s a very clean machine that works quite well. All the keys work. In the lower case and upper case position. The keys all pop right back into position ready for the next one to be pushed. It could probably use a new ribbon. The serial number on the inside cover is 4A130857. From what I can tell it dates back to the 1930’s or 1940’s. The case has protected the machine all these years. It does show signs of wear, such as scratches, corner dings and worn spots. Old Custom Locking Oak Flatware Chest & Key, Drawer, Brass Name Plaque/Hardware

The old glue is dried out& I partially disassembled the chest trying find an indication of when it was built- no luck. I took pictures while I had it apart(I won't reglue it if you prefer) uploaded them to a Google Photo Album so please take a look before bidding. It's a very nice old custom built oak chest but it needs a loving home& some TLC. The big flaws are the center inlay panel on the top& wear with some staining on the satin lining. The inlay is a solid oak panel with separate trim strips& the panel has shrunk leaving a small gap between the panel& ... moretrim plus the trim is cracked in several places. The finish is pretty good but the old varnish(or shellac) has clouded in a couple of places. There is a small dent in the front edge(sad to say. I did it) Please take a close look at our pictures& contact us if you need more information. The chest is 18 1/2" x 13 1/2" x 7 7/8" deep& will hold a service for six to eight plus serving pieces& a few extras. The chest weighs right at 15 pounds. The brass name plate is very tarnished but has never been engraved. The lining is a pale pastel green& it looks more silver in some light. The key works the lock but it isn't brass like the hardware.
