This is absolutely the prettiest color I've ever seen on a Hamer. Sunburst was the model name, even though many of the line were not true sunburst finishes) Do some research, and you'll find this is one of the most desireable import models Hamer ever offered, and they rarely come up for sale. This guitar was made at the peak of Hamer's import quality construction, and the build, fit, and finish are second to none. Up for sale is this antique Loewe Opta tube radio. I am not a"tube guy" so I will not pretend to be I will however describe what I observe as honest and accurate as possible. This radio is made in west Germany circa 1940's- 1950's. It has multiple tuners i.e. Am/fm/shortwave etc. cosmetically this is perhaps the finest looking radio I have ever seen from this era that is completely original. It is in awesome condition with little to no signs of wear or damage. It is just great. As far as function again I make no claims to being a vintage electronics expert but when plugged in it turns on and off as it should. The lights go on when turned on and it produced s typical humming sound. I was unable to get any type of reception or music or otherwise but was afraid to do something wrong. The washboard is wood with a soap saving front drain brass metal board. The washboard has a nice aged patina to the wood and the brass has discolored in many areas to green tarnish. The top advertising has a couple of natural splits in the wood. One leg has natural crack which looks to have been repaird with a flat board on the side. But all aged not newly repaired. Of this issue and one was the mile high copy. Very hard to come across in any condition and has, in my opinion the best cover in the run. This copy is un-restored, Good 2.0 condition with slight chipping on the edge of the book otherwise a good reading copy with tan pages. Original Top Notch 15" German Czech Mauser Bayonet and Scabbard 3493 G S/185
German Bayonet. This is a nice example of a Bayonet from what looks to be WWII Era- German Military. It is 15" long without the scabbard. Top-Notch Antique English Walnut Stationery Cabinet / Writing Box c.1880
A grand writing cabinet made from rich Cognac coloured Burr Walnut with a rich toffee colour which only comes from age. The knotty burl or Walnut is always highly sought-after and one of my very favourite timbers. This has to be of the finest quality cabinets I have had in many years. The quality evident on the interior with all of the polished brass fittings beautifully engraved, making this one a joy to see when open. Once opened, the fully fitted interior is revealed. The door interior on the left is for notes and business cards and the framed slate on the opposite door for writing notes etc. The slate is held within a fabulous fretwork walnut holder, another sign of the superior quality of this box. There are two original period inkwells which look almost unused, with brass screw tops. They sit either side of the removable pen tray with ... morespace underneath for keeping pens, nibs and the like. There are various sections to store stationery. There are three compartments at the top which hold the calendar cards, one for the day, one for the date and one for the month. All of the cards are present, having been skilfully replaced, ready for the next 130 years of use. This entire tray is removable and reveals something I have never seen before. there is a secret removable interior which when removed almost looks like miniature book shelves to store various items. Above the calendar is a push button which releases the sprung drawer at the bottom of the cabinet with it's flush brass campaign style handle, which is in fact a writing slope or lap desk with another removable rocking pen tray to the back running the width. The leather skiver is a quality replacement with gold embossed tooling and surrounded by slips made from Coromandel. The top section lifts to reveal a storage compartment for papers etc. A beautiful and useful desk-top gem for the lady or gentleman.
