We have a nice used Blacksmith post vise for sale. This vise has an original small coil spring to open it. Which works well, however it has no mounting bracket. The vise opens 4 inches with 3 1/4 inch jaws. You can see by the pictures the screw is in good condition and the jaws are solid. It works very well and has no cracks or welds on it. Offered here is an original Aloris Quick Change Tool Post. Model BXA. This tool post is recommended for use on 10" to 15" Swing Lathes. The tool post is equipped with the more desireable Wedge Type Clamp and it does not appear to have been used extensively. The dove tails look to be in good condition and they open and close smoothly. The T Nut measures approximately 1-9/16" wide x 3" Long x 0.335" The machined tang that slides between the compound jaws measures 1" wide x 3/8" high. I would think that this T Nut could be machined if necessary in order for it to fit your lathe. Included with the tool post are(4) Tool Holders. This is a steel Rocker Tool Postas pictured. from a Vintage 9" South Bend Workshop Metal Lathe with a 9" swing and 3 foot Bed. It is Serial#55177 Catalog No. 405-Y. Made by South Bend Engine Lathes In South Bend Indiana USA. The previous owner told me it was from 1937 but I don't have verification of that. It is worn and somewhat rusty but in good working condition. Local pick-up available. I will combine shipping on multiple purchases when possible.
