NICE! GENUINE ALORIS CA35 QUICK CHANGE CHUCK / TOOL HOLDER
I mistakenly purchased this holder. I needed the CXA which does not interchange with the CA series. Anyway. The entire assembly is pretty expensive new, see that Grainger price in the picture? $335.50 over there. The brand new replacement chuck is $125.00 at Aloris. And the elevation stud is banged up a bit, but works. another $5 or so at Aloris. So. As a project, you can save yourself about a hundred bucks going this way. Oh. And if you have never tried drilling off the tool-post instead of the tail-stock. oh gee. It turns out to be very simple to center up. You can eyeball and feel your way to exact center with the center drill. Sink that. Change to your drill. and then to your tap. And I use my little bridgeport boring bars in here too. Quick Change Chuck for Lathe with 2 Tool Holders
Up for auction is a quick change chuck for lathe with 2 tool holders. This is a shop made chuck modeled similar to the Alonis quick change chuck. The chuck is used and has nicks and blemishes but is in perfect working order. This has been on an 8 ft. lathe for years and has always served us well.
