This is a Jupiter JSL 636 large bore(0.547" tenor trombone with single rotor F attachment. Made around the year 2000. It was a top of the line horn when made. This model is still in production, but because of the development of more advanced models, is now considered to be an intermediate level instrument. Made in Taiwan. Serial# B000xx. Yellow brass bell. No significant dents or dings. I see one tiny ding on the bell. Excellent slide with no wear showing on the slide stockings.Finish is in generally good condition, with some wear an the handset where the instrument is held. Light and mellow tone in all tanges when played with a 6 1/2 AL mouthpiece, which is provided. Takes a large mouthpiece shank. Plays well in tune. F attachment is operated with mechanical action. Rotor has recent rubber bumpers which hold their shape better than ... morecork. This particular rotor can be slow at first, and will need sometimes to be"warmed up" by clicking it a few times to get it working at top speed. I can't find any reason why it sometimes does that. Case is superior in construction and in excellent condition except for the handle, which has had the stiching unravel and which has been repaired with black duct tape. There is a small accessory compartment for lubricants and a polishing cloth. This horn has been played sparingly. Is in very good condition and plays well. Shipping to lower 48 states only.

And comes with an 8.5" one-piece yellow brass bell. although judging by its condition, this trombone was made much later than that. This horn's medium bore lets you pump out the volume when you need it, but it plays with just enough resistance to be comfortable. The trigger on this instrument has a very short throw, and moves silently. The specs on this horn compare very closely to a Bach 36(same bore size, bell size, etc) and this instrument is really a great value in comparison. The case that's pictured is also included. This trombone is really in excellent condition. The lacquer is nearly 100% intact with very minor scratching ... moreand wear on the handslide grip and bell flare. The handslide moves effortlessly and quietly. And the the trigger and tuning slides move quietly and smoothly. This instrument has never seen any major damage, and has only very minor dings in the brass. It has recently been ultrasonically and chemically cleaned by our very talented brass technicians, and it is ready to go!
