This is a great playing horn with a medium dual bore slide. 500/ 525. F attachment, 8 inch Rose bell. This is a versatile instrument and might compare in size and feel a Bach 36. In my opinion, Yamaha bones tend to play bigger than the bore so I think this could be used for light symphonic work or might be perfect for an advanced student that wants a trombone that takes less air to fill. Up for auction is a very nice wood(I believe that it is oak) box. It was used to ship and or store a Navy 3" Bore Sight. It is in good shape. The only thing that I know that does not look right is a white mark on the lid. I do not know if it will scrape off or not. I did not try. HUGE low end and BIG projection throughout the range, a vintage Blessing Standard model in fine original shape. Very nice Blessing"Standard" model trumpet from the early 1950s just after the war. A great model in the Blessing lineup(serial 6XXXX) this is a serious playing. Nice looking Old trumpet from 1950-55. The valve stems have 1,2,3, for each valve, valves have 3 last#s of the trumpet serial number& 1, 2, 3. Instrument has non matching water keys? still good and strong) perhaps a substitute many years ago? Very pretty horn, and a wonderful player. One of the nicer playing& looking Big Bore trumpets made in this era I have seen/played, really good condition, a rare ... moreexample in very fine condition for the era. The Does not look 60+years old neat looking and fantastic playing horn! These are one of the great solid playing instruments from that era. A good playing VERY nice condition American made trumpet. No lacquer. This trumpet has a nice original brass and nickel finish which is easy to keep looking good compared to just brass or silver,has a few spots where some hand hold use is evident. Looks to be a very well taken care of trumpet overall, what issues it does have(which are very few) are from being used some over the past 60 years.I cleaned& polished this horn carefully by hand. Instrument shows some little age/use evidence, retaining the wonderful qualities that make these early instruments more than pretty pieces, but real players and such great long lasting well built horns. There are no signs of any repairs ever having been done in the past, leadpipe clean and shiny inside, all slides pull and adjust easily. Notice the nice condition this instrument retains. Conn 88HCLY Professional large bore trombone
Used Conn 88HCL-Y large bore trombone. Yellow brass bell. And yellow brass slide. These are fairly rare, for some reason, don't know why. Typical of yellow brass, has consist sound. Comes with both valve cover. They do make a difference. in sound. Valve is very open, and very fast. Tuning bow, is dent free. I bought the horn used. Two years ago, and enjoyed playing it.
