The chocolate teapot stands approximately 9" tall with the lid and 7-3/4" without the lid. The background is basically a subtle blue. The beautiful pair of coin silver salt dishes featured here measure 2 ¾ inches in length. 2 inches in width and stand 1 1`/4 inches from the tabletop. Their combined weight is 5 av.ozs. The top rims display a beaded applied die-rolled mborder. The side and end panels are embossed with flowers and leaves. Each hoof foot is secured to the bowl with a large stylized leaf. An incuse oval stamp reading BAILEY& CO/ CHESTNUT ST PHJILA encloses the#136/ an Eagle, U, Shield. An elephant is stamped alone in a single cartouche. The interiors were cleaned of salt residue. Minor wear is evident from polishing. The overall condition is very good.

Frankly. I have not had the courage to examine this ca 1800 silk on silk embroidery mourning picture given the evident fragility of silk of this age. This is, though, clearly a bit of a restoration project for someone. The silk embroidery itself is in excellent condition. But the foundation silk is, as my pictures show, stained, especially in the upper and lower right corners. So here I'm simply going to have to let my pictures tell the story of this piece's condition. There is no name. simply some initials. along with a handwritten in ink memorial verse, so th is piece's origins are unknown to me. Clearly. This is a lovely pair of coin silver sugar tongs. They’re 5 5/8” long. The engraving is well done all over this unique design. And the back is mono’d Holliday. They’re in good condition. Weigh 1.1 toz. The mark is not well struck but it is certainly that showed in Catherine B. Hollan’s excellent book on Virginia Silversmiths. On page 631 mark b. you will see the same thickened trunk on the T. She also describes a pair of tongs with similar arms( but different engraved Monogram) Everyone I have talked to has agreed that this is Purse’s mark and not that of T. P of Paris. Ky. Purse worked in Baltimore 1795-9, 1805-10, and Winchester, Virginia 1799-1805 and finally Charleston, South Carolina 1810-22. 7 piece Set Hand-Painted Nippon Floral and Gilt-Beaded Nut Dish and Salt Dips Noritake/Morimura. Ca 1891-1921 For your consideration is this Set of 7 Hand-Painted Nippon Nut Dish and matching Salt Dips. Ca. 1891. The Nut/Candy Dish is 1-1/2" tall. 4-7/8" across, and 7-1/8" long. The matching Salt Dips are 5/8" tall at the handles. 2-3/8" across, and 3-5/8" end to end. The gilding on the Salt Dips is very similar to the Cand/Nut Dish. But the shape of the Salt Dips are a little bit different from The Candy/Nut Dish. The hand-painted roses are very similar and open gilding and beading are also somewhat different. But still look to belong to the same pattern. They all feature the maroon"M in Wreath" mark belonging to the Noritake Company/Moimura Brothers importers. The marks are very clear. The gilding on the Salt Dips is a simplified version of the Celery Dish. And they are obviously belonging to the same pattern. Ind" on the logo- Features opera glass- All valves. Slides, and spit valves are functional. Some slides move easier than others. Includes two mouthpieces. Mute, lyre, cleaning rod, and original case- Silver coating is tarnished and in some places is worn off- Numerous minor dents are found throughout the instrument I inherited the instrument from my grandfather. Who played it in high school in the 40's. I do not believe it has been played since. It is as dirty as you would expect a well-used cornet of this vintage to be. “Old Café” Hand Decorated Satinized Covered Candy Dish ca 1936 – 1940
This is an“Old Café” covered candy dish manufactured by the Hocking Glass Company from 1936 to 1940. This beauty has been“Satinized” and then adorned with an assortment of delicate flowered decals. It measures approximately 6 7/8 inches in diameter by approximately 5 inches tall to the top of the finial on the lid. The bowl is approximately 1 ¾ inches deep. This dish has been very gently used as there are few wear marks. Close examination verifies that there are no chips. Cracks or manufacturing defects. I do not profess to be an expert on Glass. Manross and Pritchard 30 hr. Ogee clock ca.1850
Up for auction today I have a running Manross& Pritchard 30 hour ogee clock. It has both weights. But I do not know if they are original. Pretty nice clock for being 160 years old. Things I know are that the key,top glass are missing and a small piece of verneer is missing. The finish is about as good as you can expect, not perfect as it has some dull spots. I don't know if the dial or pendulum bob are original to this clock. You get it as found, without all the dust.Look it over and have fun bidding. I only ship to the United States. Vintage Birdcage and stand made in the USA by Pacific cage and furniture co Los Angeles Ca. The plastic is in excellent condition. The removable tray works and looks great. All the included bird amusments are vintage and in wonderfull shape.The only exception is the bird ladder which has had its end broken off. The cage bars show some light rust but has no bends most of it should clean up easily.I kinda like the patination. The stand is vintage and is a little ruogh. It holds the cage with no issues but it is old and showing its age. I had to replace a bolt that holds the stand together but it is a good fix just might need a little red paint.
