I believe this oven knob dates from the'50s. The chrome on the outside of the bezel is in great shape- minor rust that you have to hold in the light to see; it is the texture of overspray. The backside has more substantial patches of rust- see pic. This could benefit from rechroming. Some of the black paint is wearing off the oven knob. But this could be fixed with new black paint, wiped off. There is a little piece of dowel inside the knob to help it grip the thermostat. There is a little knotch on the bezel. But it wasn't tested by place who does the rebuilding. i just opened the box with that back up.
