HONEYWELL L8148E1257 AQUASTAT HIGH LIMIT RELAY L8148E
This aquastat was removed from a boiler that was only about 5 or 6 years old and is in excellent working condition. It has a lot of life left in it. This is essentially the same as an L8148E1265 and a lot of other similar Honeywell aquastats. It can be used with or without a flue damper. It was used with a flue damper. So if you are going to use this with a flue damper it will work fine just the way it is. But if you plan to use it without a flue damper make sure you let me know so I can install the proper jumper. As a safety feature. There is an on-board fuse that blows when used with a flue damper. The blown fuse keeps the burners from lighting if the flue damper is closed, which could kill you with carbon monoxide so it is a good thing, but it also prevents the aquastat from working at all without a flue damper unless you add a jumper ... morewire. Installing the jumper is completely safe as long as you use it on a boiler without a flue damper. You can not safely use it if there is a flue damper. In order to test this unit without a flue damper installed I added a jumper and left it in when I took the pictures. If you look at the first picture you can see the arched red wire on the left side going into the white plastic molex connector, I make it longer for testing than it has to be because it is easier to install that way. The actual jumper would be shorter. I am an HVAC contractor so if you have any questions. Please feel free to ask. If you need any other good used parts like zone valves. This is a basically brand new Honeywell control. It was installed on onto a Weil McLain boiler for 1 week then the boiler was turned off and the house was put up for sale. Then when the house sold the boiler was replaced. You can see that the date code on the control is 2013. If you have been looking at these controls you know how much they cost new. This control is identical to the L8184E1265. The difference in the part numbers only indicates that this is an"OEM" control. Shipping is 9.50 for USPS. PayPal only. This is an older style pre-flue damper aquastat. It is essentially the same as an L8148E1141. It does NOT have the molex plug for the flue damper wiring harness to plug into. I tested it before listing it on ebay and it is in excellent working condition. The outside is in good condition. But there are a few rust spots. Gray cover is included in the sale. Just not included in the pictures. It is also in good condition. It has a 24 volt thermostat circuit. And a 24 volt burner circuit. Circulator circuit is 120 volts. When the thermostat calls for heat. The aquastat simultaneously sends 24 volts to the burner circuit and 120 volts to the circulator pump circuit.
