A-9-B, 9-inch. Made in USA. Both the dish and the lid are in very nice condition with no cracks. Chips, rough edges, utensil marks or dulling to the glass or the pattern. This is for the 2 used mugs shown. Made by Corning and marked on the bottom with the number 34. Don't know the age of these. But probable 1960s- 70s. Good condition with no cracks. Normal manufacturing and glaze flaws and misses. There is some slight wear to the green stripes. There is a manufactured dent on the rim of one- not a chip. They measure 3" diameter by 3" high. TG Hawkes Era Corning(8) Engraved Cut Crystal Coridals Blue Willow Ware Pattern I just purchased this SET of(8) Engraved/ Cut Crystal cordials/ aperitifs from a local estate here in Central Virginia(these came from the same service as the wines I currently have listed) The cordials are characteristic of the fine engraved crystal designs produced at T. G. Hawkes Co. in Corning. NY during the 1930's/ early 1940's. The Corning Museum of Glass has a goblet in their collection which is described as Hawkes' Blue Willow" pattern(the description sounds correct but the object is not on display) The cordials are beautifully executed with thin wall to the bell shaped bowls. The bowls are hand engraved with the elements of the"Willow" story; a towering pagoda, willow branches draped towards a harbor where a boat waits, and ... moretwo doves/ pigeons hovering overhead. The hand applied teardrop stems are engraved with stylized willow boughs and a fine cross hatch pattern at the bowl juncture and foot. The cordials show excellent clarity with no water/ mineral staining. The pieces measure 4 5/8" high, 1 5/8" across the top rim, 2" wide at the foot and hold(1) ounces. I don't see an acid stamped signature. ALL EIGHT of the stems are in excellent condition with no damage or noted wear. This charming set would make a nice addition to any collection of vintage Corning/ Hawkes engraved crystal or Blue Willow/ Willow Ware table setting. International bidders.
