George Washington Patterson(November 11, 1799 Londonderry, Rockingham County, New Hampshire- October 15, 1879 Westfield, Chautauqua County, New York) was an American politician who served as United States Representative and Lieutenant Governor of New York. He graduated from Pinkerton Academy. He moved to New York and settled in Genesee County in 1818. Engaged in the manufacture of fanning mills, settled in Leicester, Livingston County, New York in 1825 and engaged in agricultural pursuits and the manufacture of farming implements. He was commissioner of highways of Leicester, and a justice of the peace. He was a member ... morefrom Livingston County of the New York State Assembly in 1832, 1833, and from 1835 to 1840, and was Speaker in 1839 and 1840. He was basin commissioner at Albany in 1839 and 1840 and moved to Westfield in 1841 to take charge of the Chautauqua land office. He was a delegate to the New York State Constitutional Convention in 1846, was Lieutenant Governor of New York from 1849 to 1850. He was chairman of the harbor commission at New York from 1855 to 1857. He was quarantine commissioner of the Port of New York in 1859, and was supervisor and president of the board of education for many years. He was a delegate to the Republican National Conventions of 1856 and 1860, and was elected as a Republican to the Forty-fifth United States Congress, serving from March 4, 1877 to March 3, 1879. He was buried at the Westfield Cemetery in Westfield, N.Y. Both his brother William Patterson and his nephew Augustus Frank were also U.S. Representatives from New York.

VTG COFFEE TEA CARAFE SERVER SILVERPLATE CORNING GLASS
As you can see from the photos that this is a silverplate carafe with a warmer that is in need of a cleaning. Which I will leave up to the buyer. The glass carafe has a Corning Glass seal on the inside of the neck. The design in the silver is beautiful. I have included several photos in hopes to display the delicate detail in the metalwork. There are two screws at the neck and handle that allows you to take the glass alone and clean it. The tilting mechanism is in excellent condition. There are no dents, cratches to the metal and no chips to the glass. The carafe stands in total about 15 or so tall. Excellent condition and a wonderful quality piece for your collection. Here is a Corning. Clear cast tall globe that is marked as follows: The Belt Ry of Chicago. This road is the switching road in Chicago and has been in business since 1882. Nice, hard to find globe in good condition. No cracks, normal nicks around the lower edge from use. There are some are also some air bubbles in the globe, but otherwise, nice and clear, no cloudiness or age discolor. Size is 5 1/4 inches tall. The CNX mark is cast on the opposite side of the railroad markings and also on the front side, over the panel/rr markings, in small letters just below the upper edge is cast as follows: PATD DEC 30, 1902 NO 717501. Lincoware "Abundance" by Corning Metal Kettle
Abundance Metal Water Kettle with lid. This kettle has some chips around the edge on the inside of the lid. There is some rust. There is some rust marks on the inside rim of the kettl e and also in the pou r ho les that go to the pouring spout. There is a sc ratch on on side of the pot see the first photo and some paint missing off the spout. It would look great on your stove or pot shelf. It is used and might show some normal wear.
