Ling Electronics Model EG-10-B tube graphic equalizer For your consideration is a Ling Electronics Model EG-10-B tube graphic equalizer. This huge. Beautiful graphic equalizer was built in the 1950s and has amazing mil-spec build quality throughout. Inductors on every EQ band and precision wire controlled faders I've only seen in older Cinema Engineering/Western Electric equipment. All the faders have been lubricated/cleaned/aligned and the power supply filter capacitors have been replaced. The unit is tested, works and has been calibrated. The sound is very similar to a Pultec EQH-2: smooth and saturated. Soft and beautiful on the top end/warm and full on the low end, but more versatile and to my ears much nicer sounding. All the tubes work perfectly and this unit sounds incredible. This is a world-class and unique-sounding EQ- a very ... morespecial unit originally made for the military. The EQ points were quadrupled at some point to: 8, 16, 32, 64, 125, 250, 500, 1000, 2000, 8000, 16000 and 32000. Although this unit has interstage transformers the input and output are both unbalanced, currently wired for pin 3 hot, but this can be changed to pin 2 if the buyer so desires. The unit is fully passive with the exception of the input and output stages which are completely tube based. It has XLR input/ output. A brief background on Altec. Up for sale is what I believe to be a Western Electric Magnetron. Its function and purpose I am not sure of. The magnets are still powerful. The paint is peeling in spots. Whether or not this works as it was intended I have no idea. Sorry I cannot give you more information. That is all I know about it. This is an antique Western Electronics Artificial Larnyx. Western Electronics a division of Bell Systems made this No 5 type larynx in the 1930's and 1940's. it is one of the first portable artificial larynx available. It is approx. 6" long x 2" wide. It comes with four mercury batteries. The larynx, instruction booklet, and the original box. These devices were sometimes referred to as throat backs as they were used to produce clearer speech for folks who lost their voice box. It was to be placed under the mandible which would produce vibration and allow speech. Operates on two batteries at a time. This is being sold as is. LOT vintage WESTERN ELECTRIC TRANSISTOR diode GOLD PLATE electronics 2N537 2N560
I have been listing lots of vintage Transistors and will continue to do so. Some will have BIN's and if you win multiple auctions you can save on combined shipping! So up 4th and last for today are a small lot of 5 vintage Transistors. 3 are Western Electric and 2 have the letter"N" in a diamond shape on the top of the hat. They all start with the numbers 2N with the Gold WE being 2N537 SIG C 112; the 2 black top WE's read 2N560 104. And the 2 with the"N" logo read 2N560 227& 235. The legs on all these appear to be gold plated and the WE hats also seem to be gold plated with 2 of them having a black finish over that? I have no idea what these are for or how or if they work so they are being sold"as-is" They seem to generally be in very good shape with some light wear, as pictured. You are bidding on an Aviel Electronics AVL Z-299. 50 ohm termination. It is in good condition, and may be unused. It checks good with my meter. It came from a Western Electric/AT&T longline facility. It measures 1 3/8 inches tall, and ¾ inches in diameter at the large end. It appears to be silverplated, but has some tarnishing. This is a Western electric KS-16816 L3 Equalizer. Made by Elgin electronics Waterford PA. These were used to equalize 500. 8000, and 15khz copper pair lines. Removed from service. Very clean inside. the Western Electric 111C coil transformer looks in great condition. Sold as-is untested. The photos tell all I know about the unit.

Lot of 5 electronics cables--Apple, Motorola, Western Digital! Look!
Thank you for viewing my auction! This is a lot of five(5) electronics cables. For laptops, external hard drives, cell phones, or possible connectivity for other devices. The first one is a white cable from Apple, a power cable originally for a MacBook Pro. It is an 85W MagSafe Power Adapter, with one end for a wall outlet and the other end the side-connectiong Apple MagSafe connector(the OLDER style, not the slightly wider new design) It is about 70" long. The second cable is another white Apple cable, this one a cell phone charger cable originally for an iPod touch. One end is standard USB 2.0, the other end is the Apple 32-pin flat connector, and it is about 39" long The third cable is also a cell phone charger able, this one black, from Motorola. One end is for a wall outlet and the other end is micro USB. It is about 72" ... morelong. The last two cables are black Western Digital cables, from an external hard drive. The first one has one end for a wall outlet and the other end is a round DC connector. It is about 60" long.The other black WD cable is a USB 3.0 cable, with standard USB 2.0 on one end and USB 3.0 on the other end. It is about 48" long. I hope I've described them all accurately. The Apple 85W MagSafe Power Adapter alone is worth between $70.00 and $80.00. The cables are all in excellent condition and from a smoke free environment.
