VINTAGE 1950s FISHING LURE RETAIL DISPLAY CARD & 12 HOT PINK #3 SALMON LURES
What a great. Affordable($15 = $1.25@ piece of american fishing history! Very fun, old retail lure card from the 1950's with all the original lures still on the card. They were originally designed. Manufactured and sold by independent lure maker. H. J. Ringer, on Whidbey Island. Washington. They are totally usable today and still knock them dead(see photo) but would be a greater addition to your fishing collection, displaying the old lures and their prices. I have a limited number of these and there are no more after they are gone. These are size 3 and made of nickel steel and painted hot pink, which salmon cannot resist. They measure approximately 2.25" for the flasher/lure, not counting the hook and swivel, which makes them approximately 4" in overall length. These have never been in the water(tho there is some slight rusting ... moreto the hooks from being near the ocean all these years) and are on the original cards, just like the day that Mr. Ringer took them from store to store and resort to resort in Western Washington and Puget Sound, selling them one lure and one card at a time. I actually have his sales books giving the original dates of sale. That is how I dated them. What a great reminder of the days when things moved at the actual speed of life!
