Offering this unique one of a kind stainless steel and brass faced electric clock mounted in a circa 1915 brass and glass case. The clock was hand made by a real craftsman in the late 1940's. The maker was a master metal worker and made many knives. Tools and countless other items using brass. Bronze and stainless steel for more than 50 years. He only made one clock however and it is offered here for sale for the first time anywhere. The clock is electric with a"E. Howard" works run by an electric motor. The hands. Dial and numbers were all hand tooled by the owner in brass and stainless steel and the complete construction of this clock was done by him. He then mounted the clock on a 1" thick piece of cherry and added the antique(circa 1915) solid brass and glass case with a front opening door. That brass and glass case ... morecame from a closed factory and housed a time clock at one time! The workmanship here is just wonderful and the clock runs perfect keeping good time. This clock and case measures 18" tall and 15 1/2" wide and 6" deep as mounted on the board. The clock and case are quite heavy at 30 pounds. This is an original WWII Vollrath Canteen. The bottom of the canteen says"Vollrath 1944. The cover is a darker green than most WWII so I think it(the cover) is from the 50's. Cover does have the felt lining. The belt loop on the cover has come loose(needs some stitching) The canteen is in very nice shape with the cap and steel chain so you can't lose the cap. This is a drum or basket made to hold green coffee beans for roasting. I bought this about five years ago from the person who made it. It was hand made from stainless steel in th U.S. But I don't have the name of the maker. I think I paid about $159 new. It was designed to fit onto the rotisserie of a small counter top oven. I was told it could also be attached to the existing rotisserie of a full sized oven or of a BBQ grill, although I've never tried to use it in that way. I did use it to roast coffee in a stand alone countertop oven, but only used it once or twice. It's made with six baffles built into the inside to stir the coffee beans. It's hinged and opens wide. My caution when using this kind of device is that it becomes very hot. All coffee roasters need a lot of heat, and the beans themselves will reach 400+ degrees ... moreF to roast properly.
