This auction is for the Breyer Connoisseur model. Gilen. He is a lovely matte shaded baby bay done on the porcelain version of the Gilen mold. This was the first time this mold was produced. All the other models made on the Gilen mold have been plastic. He was one of the 2009 Connoisseur models and is numbered 303/350. I see no flaws on him. Offered here is a gorgeous model! This is"JAZZ FUSION. model#90138. This guy was produced in July/August, 2006. He's a dark bay pinto warmblood, painted on the"Cleveland Bay" mold as a"Just About Horses" Connoisseur model in a very limited edition of 350. One was only able to purchase by lottery, so he wasn't easy to get. The last Connoisseur model I could find was made in 2011, so I don't think they are doing this any longer. These Connoisseur just horses may be ones destined to go up in value over time. This"JAZZ FUSION" is WONDERFUL; I am not his original owner. But when I bought him he was described to me as being(quote) IMMACULATE! end quote) which he definitely is. His white is nice and bright, his markings crisp, the mapping on all his white is even with no errors, and he's shaded ... morewonderfully too. Finally, this model was produced in glossy; his is nice and thick and shiny. All in all he's a wonderful model, whether you show, simply collect, or want to invest in for later. It includes all three volumes 90 card base sets(270 cards in total) and lots of chase cards: The set of three very rare gold cards. Depicting Sean Connery, Roger Moore and Brosnan. Poster cards 1- 11. 13 and 16. Bond Women foil cards: 1. 3, 4, 5, 12, 14, 15, 16, 18, 21, 23, 25 and 26 As a special bonus the collectionc comes complete with the three original display boxes. One for each volume, boxes show signs of wear but are in a good condition, given there age. Each box also comes with lots of spare cards, and with the case of volume three a full spare set of basis cards, possibly two full extra sets by looks of it BUT I am selling this set on the presumption rhat there is only ONE spare set. It is done in the classic Burmese glass capturing the beauty of the magnificent seashell in his honor. Stacy Williams has re-interpreted the seashell motif that Frank inspired for his much-loved Burmese selections in 1985 and 1986. The vase is inscribed with Frank M Fenton Memorial backstamp. This is a beautiful Fenton Burmese 10" Bluebird Basket fashioned from a mould designed by Fenton designer. Jon Saffell for the 1999 Connoisseur Collection line. Robin Spindler created the lively bluebird lighting on the windblown pampas grass. 22k gold bands encircle the bottom of the basket for added appeal. The hand painted detail is by D. Fredrick. The pink blush which characterizes the Burmese style is very vibrant on this piece and creates a really gorgeous coloring for the glass.
