DoAll Vertical Metal Band Cutting Saw Model 26-3 - No Reserve!
Up for sale is a DoAll metal cutting band saw. I can't remember exactly what year it is. 1956( but the serial number is 55-58542, so you can call DoAll to find out. This machine is in very used condition. It runs. But when we try to cut a piece of metal the blade comes to a halt, although the motor continues to run. We suspect it has a bad transmission. The hydraulic table moves in all directions that it should. The controls seem to work correctly. We bought new blade guide mounts when trying to get the machine operational. Those cost over $500. I will include them in the sale if the price reaches $500, otherwise I'll take those off and sell them separately. This machine could be a good value for someone who knows how to fix them, or great for parts, or even scrap. Buyer must remove from our shop. No steps to worry about. WF Wells Horizontal Band Saw Model L-10 metal cutting band saw
I have been running this saw since new and it has not been abused or in a high production environment.This saw is a very heavy built saw and everything is tight including all pivot points.The only problem this saw had was the paint from day one was not very good. I disassembled saw sand blasted down to white steel which should of been done at factory and i primed with a high quality urethane primer and then painted with a high quality urethane paint.It has a ten gallon reservoir and factory little giant pump. It will cut through a 10 inch pipe which is 10.75 out side diameter and it will cut bigger if you cut as deep as it will go and partially turn the pipe and then cut again.I put a factory recommended single phase 220 motor on it and I also have the three phase motor for it which i will include if you need it. When i took apart to paint ... morei also made up new heavy duty hydraulic lines with high quality jic ends that are much better than the factory barbed fittings.The blade on it is well used but it will get you started.
