HYD-MECH DM-8 Horizontal bandsaw Very rare to see a used Hyd-Mech DM-ANYTHING for sale anywhere. This is my baby and I am finally parting with it since I cannot justify keeping since my shop has closed down. This is the DM-8 model double-mitering metal cutting bandsaw. It is rock-solid and can cut a sliver off of a 3" stainless exhaust tube as well as solid stock leaving a darn near burr-free finish! What makes this particular saw even more rare is that it is"220V SINGLE PHASE" I have changed all the fluids. New chip wheel, new blade installed, new seals in head tension cylinder, etc. Fluid was over $100 but I only believe in OEM recommended products. Saw runs beautifully. These wheels are off an antique Cresent vertical band saw I bought years ago. I used the frame of the saw for a bead roller project and the wheels. Blade guides and table ended up as extra parts. I cleaned and primered the wheels and put everything extra in storage. I always thought I would use them on something, but that was years ago and they need to go. They are 26 inches in diameter, 1 5/8 across the wheel(where the tire sits) and use 1 ¼ inch diameter shafts. The hub without the bearing is about 5 inches long and the other is about four inches long. Set of Vertical Band Saw Horizontal Bandsaw Blade Guides Cast Iron USA Made
These blade guides are off an antique Cresent vertical band saw I bought years ago. I used the frame of the saw for a bead roller project and the wheels. Blade guides and table ended up as extra parts. I put everything in storage thinking I would use them on another project, but that was years ago and they need to go. The mounting shaft on one of the guides is 5/8 diameter and about 5 inches long and the other guide uses a slotted bracket about 5 inches long for a ½ bolt. The wheels on both guides are about 2 ¼ inches in diameter and both look to be adjustable for 1/8” 1” width blades. I’m not sure how they adjust for thickness unless the screws are the cam type.
