This is an old hourglass timer in a lucite type paperweight block. Inside is a corded rotary dial telephone. So maybe the point was to limit the duration of your calls. Measures about 3 1/4 inches high, 1 1/4 inches wide, and 3/4 inch thick. The surface has a hazy look to it, I guess from age. I have not attempted to clean it. And the fact that these are the same Deco period style as several other current items repeats that idea as well. The Presto Timer is working and has a clearly heard"ding" when time expires. Looking at it reminds me of rounded refrigerators and huge stoves. Nothing missing, cracked, chipped or damage to note other than the wear and soil evident on this one, presented AS FOUND. The Minute Meter is NOT working and has flaking white paint mostly on back and bottom of case, front with dial and black decoration looks ... morefairly bight and is complete, plastic dial in Very Good vintage condition and has"LUX" embossed at bottom. Paper sticker on bottom has specs as quoted earlier in description. Presto is 3 3/4" square aluminum timer, Minute is painted tin and sits 3" tallest with base 2 3/4" widest. She was a contemporary of Alfred Shaheen, Kamehameha, Kahala, and more. The combination of Capri length pants and overdress was called a tea timer. This ensemble features frog closures at the neck and the top of the dress slit. There is embroidery at the sides of the dress slit. This is a TUSA bottom timer that i got from a dive shop going out of business. Owner said it had never been used and just needed new batteries. I put new batteries in it and took it to a pool and nothing. I have never gotten it to turn on and assume it is busted. It comes with a wrist mount and a strap. Selling off all our collectibles and family hoarded stuff. Up for auction is an old Yale& Towne Door Time Clock. It is a safe or vault door timing device with triple movement. Overall excellent working condition. I do not have the keys. Winding key or door open key. The wind key is pretty standard, I used a clock key to test each movement. That is why the photos shows the pointer not on zero. When the clocks run down they stop on zero. Then there is a little keyhole, top left, to open the door. I believe this key would be pretty easy to acquire as well. It is very heavy, easily over 10 lbs. too much for my small scale to weigh.
