This is a listing for a 1972 RBM calculator. This calculator is very. Very rare, and was only manufactured for two years! It is a very large pocket calculator-even when compared to others of the same period. This is a scientific calculator, a very hard thing to find in stores at when it was sold, and it cost a very large amount brand new, at least $250. It takes six rechargeable batteries, which are the shorter type, and they need to be sautered into the machine, which is charged via a charger port on the top(see pictures) There are also remnants of a small, heat-proof, I'm assuming) purple foam pad behind the batteries. I have not tested this machine, as it would take some equipment which I do not have, and I want to sell it with all of the original parts. Because of this I cannot guarantee that the machine will work properly when batteries ... moreare available, but all of the circuitry inside is intact and in very good condition. There is very minimal wear on the outside of this calculator, excluding two engravings; on the top is engraved a telephone number, and on the bottom is engraved"Stacey Wilson. The case is also in fairly good condition, and has a fancy"snakeskin" design on it. The inside consists of a blue felt depression to hold the calculator, and a nylon cloth top part with some red pen marks on it. The fact that this calculator was sold with a case this nice hints that it was once very expensive. This machine is worth much more than what I am selling it for. Radio Receiver RBM-5
This is an RBM-5 eleven tube medium frequency receiver that I have had laying around for the past 30 years. It covers 200KHz to 2MHz in four bands. The receiver was manufactured by Westinghouse(serial# 1138) It was accepted bay the Navy Bureau of Ships on 12/8/44. The receiver showed signs of use; so I believe was in service during WWII. One of the bathtub. Three section condenser was leaking, so I replaced it with three new caps. I have the old condenser and screws and will include this with the receiver. The receiver required an external power supply and the audio output was for headphones. In addition the receiver doesn't have an on/off switch. I built an power supply and added a power transistor wired as an emitter follower to change the hi impedance output to low impedance. This was placed in a cabinet of western maple so the receiver ... morecould be displayed and used. An 8 ohm speaker is internal with the power supply. The receiver and power supply is screwed to the bottom of the cabinet and the interconnecting cord is long enough so the receiver can be removed and opened up and worked on without removing the power supply/speaker. The holder for listing the watch frequencies has several original printed cards. These are all blank except one which has the 500KHz distress frequency typed on it. The receiver chassis is formed of 1/8" aluminum plate and all the components are attached with machine screws. I could not find any rivets. Now for the bad part- after I put all this together, I found out the receiver wouldn't receive on band 3(650- 1130 KHz) Obviously a switch contact problem. The switch sections are individually shielded and the shielding must be removed in order to spray with de-ox. Anyway, I ran out of space to display the receiver; therefore, decided to sell. I have spare 12V tubes and will include these with the receiver and schematics of the receiver and power supply/speaker. The receiver is quite heavy(64 lbs. and will likely weight 74 lbs when boxed. Military WWII Power Supply for RBM Receiver CAY-20086
Here is a world war 2 power supply for the Navy RBM receivers. I'm told it also works on the RBS receivers as well. I believe the photos will give you a good physical representation. The only obvious modification that I can find is that connector P2003 has been converted over to a common ceramic octal socket. I'll toss in a used octal plug so you can wire it up to your cable needs. Power supply seems to work fine. I measured 12.6 VAC at the octal plug. B+ was a little high(255 VDC) but neglible ripple. DId not investigate any further. Nice piece of WWII history. This one was made by Westinghouse but is identical to the CCT-20086 made by Stromberg-Carlson.

Only one side of the locket has the lense and frame intact on the inside and it is marked with the RBM Atrice bumblebee maker's mark.
