Absolutely amazing sounding Deluxe Memory Man analog Delay/Chorus/Vibrato. Used two of these in the studio for the last 10 years and have decided to only keep one after buying a crazy new digital box to go along with the one I'm keeping. Lush Vibrato and Chorus modulation goes great with soft echos and crazy slap back sounds. Also does well as a preamp booster/overdrive. Strats and Tele's really sound great with the level bumped up!This pedal is in excellent shape for the age. Yamaha E1010 Analog Delay
This is a vintage Yamaha E1010 analog delay unit. These units provide 300 ms. of delay and have a very warm pleasing sound. In addition they have excellent modulation controls. And can create very nice mod/chorusing type fx. This particular unit was used in my guitar rack for a few years, then retired to the closet when digital delays became the norm. This being a vintage unit there are a couple of things to be aware of. These units have two inputs. One on the back(which works perfectly) and one on the front(which doesn't work) The front jack appears normal, but passes no signal(maybe just a wire that needs soldering? I always used it with the back input so I never had the front fixed. Other than that the unit functions properly. Cosmetically I would say the unit looks pretty good for a vintage unit. The front plate has a few imperfections, ... morebut they're fairly hard to see on the black faceplate(there's a'scratchy smudge' above the Yamaha Logo, observable in the picture, but actually less noticeable in real life) The back has some scratches as well, but again nothing out of the ordinary for a unit of this age. I’ve found myself extensively re-amping signals, printing real tape delays, using plate and spring reverbs, and blasting sounds out into my live room to add spatial depth and a certain randomness to my recordings and mixes these days. In my opinion, it helps avoid the possibility of sterile, overwrought computer mixes. So I’m always on the lookout now for new ambience-creating devices, and the SNAZZY FX Wow And Flutter stompbox certainly fits the bill. Housed in a kinda ugly(and hard to read) orange and blue case, this mono pedal sports nine ... moreknobs up top, indicating that something more than a typical digital delay might lurk under the hood. I just saw a photo of it. Holy sheesh! AH] You can get the typical delay sounds, and the slightly dark echo it produces sits musically on a guitar track or in a mix. Yes, it is able to handle +4 dBu line-level signals as well as guitar pickups. But when you tweak the Threshold and Warp knobs, you can induce some crazy“tape warpage” as sounds enter this device. Sure, it can be subtle warps, and it worked well on some backing vocals in a mix, creating a slightly wobbly delay, but when pushed far, this box goes totally nuts. It really does sound like a broken tape deck that keeps stopping, starting, and yet magically looping itself. Un-frickin-real. This pitch-bending chaos is hella fun. I can’t think of any other delay product that can do what this one pulls off. My only critique would be that while running it at +4 dBu levels, I had to put a gate on the output to reduce the constant background noise, but I have to do the same for my tape echoes and spring reverbs, so it didn’t seem that unusual. The PS-3 is a great little oddity in Boss history. Delay effects. Pitch shifting, and Detune function which can produce nice chorus-type sounds. This pedal has scuffs. But like all Boss pedals it's pretty much indestructible. The LED that tells you if it's on or not does NOT work. In fact it is missing. But I have tested this pedal and all sounds/modes work perfectly. And believe me you'll know if it's on or not! Original box, no manual. BOSS DM-2 ANALOG DELAY PEDAL 3005 CHIP 1981 20'th week! EARLY REVISION
This is a really special Boss DM-2. The 570 Compander chip is dated 8120. 20'th week of 1981 and the sticker code 092500 put's the date at August 1981. This is one of the very early DM-2's, totally stock and loaded with the 3005 chip. The 4558 opamp(where alot of the tone comes from) is an NEC, not the usual JRC. This is totally stock and rare. The tone of this DM-2 is the warmest and smoothest I have heard. Condition wise you can tell this pedal sounds amazing because someone could not get enough of it and used it quite a bit. The only issue with the pedal is the 9 volt battery connector is corroded and not working. There is no battery leak damage on any part of the pedal. Pedal powers perfectly with ACA-120 power supply(not included but available) This is an incredible 3005 loaded DM-2. Line6 DL4 Delay guitar effects pedal with Expression Mods
Up for sale is a Line6 DL4 with the complete mods! The two switches at the top of the unit are for the expression mods. These mods have been seen on the Drasp units and some of the JHS units as well. I combine the best of the two. The left switch is the famous"Double Preset" mod. Set a delay setting. Step on the switch, and then set another setting. Now you have TWO"presets" to switch between. The switch on the right engages the expression knob on the right side of the pedal. You can roll this knob with your shoe to dial in a custom amount of effect. No stooping and bending required! The classic volume drop issue has been fixed. And fluid motion soft touch switches have been installed. They have shorter threads compared to some of the other switches the modders are using, allowing for a smaller profile. Up for auction is one Korg SD-200 Signal Delay from circa 1980. This is an analog delay based on the MN3005 BBD chip. This is a great unit. Extremely versatile. Two 1/4" inputs. Input A is switchable–20/35/50dB. Input B is-50dB Fixed- for microphones. Two 1/4" outputs: Direct/Effect, and Effect only. Delay Time is 30-400 m/sec. Controls for Feedback, Effect Level, Tone, Output Level Selector(20/35/ 50dB) Apparently. This unit has the same preamp circuit as the coveted SDD-3000. I don't have the schematic for the SD-200, so I can't corroborate this but I will say that the preamp definitely has great tone to it. Here is a vintage delay/sampler from the 80's. Lot's of options for creating everything from reverb to slap back to cathedral echoes and beyond. This will also sample your playing to accompany yourself. Lot's to play with and it's very musical. DSD-2 Digital Sampler/Delay The DSD-2 is a combined Digital Delay and Sampler pedal. The Delay has two modes. S and L. In S mode it is variable between 50ms and 200ms. In L mode it is variable between 200ms and 800ms. The technology is similar to the DD-2 and they are in fact sharing the same internal chip. When used as a sampler, two modes are available: Play and Rec/Play. In the play mode, a recorded sample sound can be recalled whenever the pedal is depressed or when an external trigger is fed to the DSD-2. In the Rec/Play mode, a new sound can be recorded while a previously recorded ... moresound is being replayed. Recording and replay is archived simultaneously while the pedal is depressed.
