We are very pleased to offer a vintage(1930s-40s) die cut cardboard store counter display. The full-color graphics show a white-bearded man, wearing a red vest over a red-and-white striped shirt, pointing to text that reads, THE REAL FLAVOR FROM THE MAPLE GROVE/ UNCLE JOHN'S SYRUP" The piece measures 16-3/4" wide by 12" tall. And is in very good as-found condition(the folding stand appears to be unused) There is a small crease on the base, light surface/edge wear, light foxing on the forehead, and a very small scrape just under the eyeglasses(see photos) A desireable piece of nostalgic store advertising! This auction is for an authentic. Vintage and original factory Speidel watch marker countertop advertising, lighted, plug-in, retail store display. This authorized dealer display came from an estate sale and measures 11 and 1/2 inches wide. 5 inches deep and 7 and 1/4 inches tall. The cord is 7 feet. 3 inches long. The metal hinge end of the lid is stamped Pat Pend 400 W. Kinzie Chicago. This address reflects the changes that were made to Chicago's street numbering system in 1909. The crock is no earlier than that year and probably dates from a few years later. The address is now part of the Merchandise Mart complex on the north side of the Chicago River, west of Wells Street. The crock itself is unmarked as to maker but Red Wing is the probable ... moremaker. Condition: Surprisingly good. The crock has one rim chip. No cracks. There are glazed over mold pulls on the encircling ring. Interior is clean with light stain rings. The plate glass lid, one chip, flea bites on the beveled edge, fine scratches. The metal hinged opening mechanism is fine, age darkening to the nickel finish is all to report. It unhooks from the side mount and a screw can be loosened to remove the glass. The rubber gaskets have dried out and the large one under the hinge has lost half its size. None of this affects the appearance or use of the crock. Dimensions: The Crock. 8" tall, 15 1/2" maximum diameter, 17 3/4" wide at the metal lid mounting. The Plate Glass Lid, 13 1/2" X 13 1/2" Weighs a whopping 20 pounds, 10 ounces. Oak store counter or bar. Believed to come out of old local upstate New York hotel. Which was taken down in the 1960's. I believe this to be from 1890-1930 but I can't be more specific, as I'm not an antique expert and have not had an antique appraisal on this piece by one. It measures 9' 7" long x 37" high x 28.5" deep. This piece is Oak and is from around Norwich, New York, which is about an hour Southeast of Syracuse NY, an hour North of Binghamton, and 2 hours West of Albany. Buyer needs to either pick it up or arrange and pay a shipping company to pick it up and ship it for them. Extras included at no extra cost(if buyer wants them) The little Coke fridge which is new and holds up to 17- 12 ounce cans. I've just plugged it in to verify that it works. Also, included white rack pictured and the three ... moremetal with leather stools shown in the picture. This piece is solid and heavy but can be transported on a pickup truck if necessary. Before and after pictures are included. Does show some wear due to age and use, but is a very nice, solid piece. Top is the original oak wood. Antique Metal Counter Bell Hotel Bell Store Bell Style Gold Texas Provenance O.K. I still have some new farm auction stuff to list, as well as some South Dakota/Wyoming vacation stuff to list but also recently drove with a friend out to Eastern Ohio. Stopped at two barn sales along the way- both Amish homes, and did I get some fabulous finds. Some very old primitives and antiques, and I’m thrilled to post them for you this week. I’ll be listing just about every day this week, so be sure to keep checking! Oh. You know how I love it when the treasures that I find talk to me- and this one literally sings to me! What I have is an antique steel(with a gold finish and an iron clapper) counter bell. The kind that you'd see in hotels or old country stores. It is in excellent condition, with a fabulous loud resounding ring, and measures 3" ... moretall and 3" diameter at the base. It weighs just under 1/2 lb. The dark gold finish is in excellent condition with very little wear. You can see only very light spotty surface rust on the underside/inside of the bell that is very very minor. Someone clearly cared for and took very well care of the bell, as it was special to them. I purchased the bell with the piece of paper shown in my photos- it was attached to it, actully krinkled into the underside of the bell. The paper is an old East Texas Val-Pak Fiirestone add that looks to be from 1988(it has a 7/88 mark, and I'm guessing that reflects a date? Anyhoo, on the other side of the add, the former owner hand wrote the story of this old bell in black marker. It reads, This bell handed down to Etta norene Foster Teague from Leila Redman Sivey. She used it in her home in Corpus Christi Texas, to ring for Dr. Spivey when she needed him. Be sure top screw is tight(top part) so will ring louder. Best not to remove top part. I would guess, to the late 1800s. It stands 17 1/2 inches tall. The mirror frame measures 10 3/4 x 12 inches and the sight size of the mirror is 5 1/2 x 7 1/2 inches. The base is 6 1/2 inches square. The beveled glass mirror is in good vintage condition and certainly usable. The cast iron frame is in perfect condition with no damage. The old gold painted surface was left as found and has not been even brush cleaned. The mirror frame tilts easily and stays in place at whatever angle you put it. I was unable to find any other like it on eBay or elsewhere on the Internet. This was a storage unit find. And appears to be a rare item. Exact age is unknown. It is 12" wide by approx. 9-1/4" deep. Thick clear glass. It measures approximately 10" tall with the cover on. Measured to the top of the handle on the cover. The jar itself measures 7 3/4" tall x 7 1/4" wide at the widest part of the jar. It weighs 4 pounds, 4 ounces. I purchased this jar at a Flea Market and do not know how old it is. The glass looks like it has ... morea lot of tiny air bubbles in the glass. Giving it a"specked" appearance. The inside edge of the top of the jar has some small chips. The outside edge of the cover has one tiny chip. The cover does not fit the jar tightly, there is some play in it. There are some minor scratches and scuffs on the glass but overall it looks nice. Schick display I am offering what I believe is a mid 60s Gillette store counter display. This is an assembled item and will be shipped disassembed for safety and cost. Typical storage and wear from use. There are some paint splatters. But that can be removed. Looks like there was one more rack on this, but there are only two included. This can be set to different heights, but as shown measures 20" tall and 22" wide. There are some scratches etc on the acrylic, I did not attempt to polish this up, I just wiped the dust off and cleaned it up a bit. It could use more detailed cleaning to bring out its best. Rare abu 5000A in store display stand up box. Contains original leather case in like new condition as well as glass parts tube(filled) and oil and wrench in sealed plastic bag. Reel has some rash on both plates but is in working order. Has been fished. It looks like some body took the reel out fished it for a while and returned it to the box and put it on a shelf. One corner of the box has seperated(see picture) cannout tell when box is closed. These combos are hard to find.
