I could have sold these early 1900's Candy Store Counter display jars seperate. But the have been together for so long I'am listing them in one sale with no reserve! Each hand blown glass jar measures 5 1/2" base dia x 12" total ht including the lid. The tin lids are embossed with a great looking Art Nouveau/ Art Deco design and the sides are punched with the name"Rowntrees Gums" on the front& back side. Since the display jars are hand blown one jar weighs 2.1 lbs and the other one is over a pound heavier weighing 3.3 lbs. Both are still in ex condition however one jar has two nicks on the inside edge of the top rim( see last two pics) Both nicks are well concealed when the lid is firmly in place.

Vintage Depression Glass Store Counter Jar. This is a beautiful jar made of thick old glass. It weighs 6 lbs 5 ounces. It is 10" tall. 6" wide and 10" deep. There are no chips, nicks or roughness. The tin lid is attached to the jar by a band of tin around the neck of the jar. There is some wear and a very small amount of rust on the lid. I have shown this in the photos. There are two old decals on the jar. I kept them on but they can be removed if desired. There is an achor with an"H" in the middle of it embossed on the bottom of the jar. It is embossed on seven sides with the eighth side accepting a paper label. The paper label is no longer on this jar. It is 10 1/2" tall without the lid. It was manufactured in 1926. There is some light roughness on the inside rim of the jar. There is also one very small chip on the lower outside rim of the jar. It is about 1/8" long. There are many bubbles and mold marks as is expected from a jar of this age. The lid is in mint condition. It does not have the peanut finial on it. This looks like it was a hardware store display box for Pflueger Ringed Fish Hooks. Catchie Brand. It held 1,000 hooks which were priced down to 2 for 1 cent. The entire box was valued at $7.50. Someone, the guy I bought it from) wrote Make Offer in ink on the face. He had rod Ferrells in it and I bought the lot. I think it would be a great display box for an antique lure collection. The piece that is separated from the box could be trimmed on the ends and slid into the center slots. I thought that is where it came from but it is as long as the lid and may have been a flap piece. The box measures approximately 91/2 in. X 5 1/4 wide and 11/4 deep. Please look at the photos carefully. The box is in very worn state but it has charm and like I said. It is old. Measures 11.25"H x 4.75"W. Nice heavy jar weighing 4 lbs. 5 oz. Excellent condition. Very little use wear and no significant damage aside from some very slight roughness on the rim of the stopper. The small round tray measures 6 inches in diameter and is marked Warmisham London. It appears to be made of either copper or brass. or quite possibly brass coated copper. it is hard to tell(please see pictures for your own judgement) On the bottom. It is marked with a'3' The larger scoop measures almost 9 inches long, 7.5 inches wide, and about 2.5 inches deep. It is marked'33' on the bottom. The scale itself measures about 14 inches long and 6 inches tall. It has a little surface rust on the arms it but could be cleaned up I would like to suggest that you enlarge the first photo and then filter through the shots for best viewing. Hi. You are bidding on a vintage Planters Peanuts store jar. The jar is kind of unusual in that it has the yellow pyro lettering on the longer side. And it is embossed on the shorter side. The jar has a shorter front than back so that it would lean forward so someone could reach into it more easily. The bottom of the jar is marked Streamline Jar Made in U.S.A. The lid is very nice. It is a heavy tin with a green background. There are yellow stripes on the side of the lid. There is appropriate wear on the lid, but it is still in very nice condition. The mirror does have some black showing on the left side and a small amount down by the clips that hold it on to the back. The mirror itself is in otherwise good condtion. With NO chips. The mirror has a wooden back with a message to the store owner to"keep the newest hat on stand- change often. The front of the display reads"TRY ON OUR NEWEST PORTIS HATS" A great display piece for the Portis Hat collector. The display measures 13" wide and about 16" high. Here is a very nice old and some what SCARCE cardboard store counter container for the sale of" Beech-Nut Peppermint Gum that dates around 1957-58. What is unique about this item is that be sides picturing the Beech- nut product. It also notes of Presenting Jack Paar. Tv host of the Tonight Show in 1957. This design is displayed three times on this container. This little tub is made of a coated cardboard, it is 4" across the base and it flairs up to 4 3/4" high to about 5" opening on the top. This item is in GOOD to VERY GOOD CONDITION, no holes, dents or torn areas. It has a couple spots on the rolled edges( no real problem, can repair easily) and a couple light nicks& scuffs. Up for auction is this vintage counter top candy store point of sales display. It measures 15' long 5 1/4' wide and at the back where the collapsable stand is; it measures 6 3/4' tall. Antique large primitive store counter candy jar. It has a slant front and rounded back end. Sides. Top, and bottom have flat stops. It is 11" deep x 7-1/2" tall x 6" wide. It has many inperfections in the glass, ie, bubbles, wavy stops as old glass often has. It is a heavy thick glass. The rubber gasket to the lid is gone, if it ever had one. It is in very good antique condition no cracks, or chips that I could see, but there is some use rubbing and scratches which only add to its character. We are not certain of its original history but believe it to be from the late 1800's. Comes with 3 drawers and 2 glass shelves for display. The drawers and shelves can switched from one end to the other. The front side is purely for display and the backside has a cubby on the right end that cannot be viewed from the front. Great for supplies. Just above the cubby a cash drawer housed with slots for different bills and change. Just above this drawer is a lid with a slot for receipts or whatever you choose. It can be lifted to gain entry to the receipts as well. This auction is for a vintage Planters Salted Peanuts 5 cent counter display jar that I was told was from the 50's. The jar is in good condition considering it's age with the exception of some chips on inside of the lid.see pic) Lid is original to piece and it and jar have many air bubbles in it. Like many older glass items. Lid fits fine but it is not a sealed top so it moves around a little when placed on jar.
