Vintage lot of five drug store candy or display jars. Would be great to use in a wedding display like a candy buffet. These are in great shape. The two black canisters in the first picture are not included. They were only used to prop two jars up. Included: 1. A tilted counter display with a wooden lid and porcelain knob. At the center it is almost 8 inches tall. The lid is five and three-quarter inches in diameter. Jar is unmarked. 2. There is another tilted counter display jar with a metal lid and red knob. This is approximately the same size as the first. Also unmarked. 3. There is a cracker jar with pressed glass designs on the corners and too. It does not come with a lid and is just over 8 inches tall. The mouth is threaded. 4. There's a smaller square glass jar with a large opening that is ground. The bottom is marked either AW ... moreor 4W. It is 6 1/2 inches tall and the opening is 3 7/8 inches in diameter. 5. The last jar is a round glass counter display jar with a lid. I'm not sure if it is the original lid. I think it might be a bit small but it does not fall in. Also unmark. The lid does say"patented August 28 1900 other patents pending" it is very interesting because all the Ns are backwards. These are all in very good shape with minimal signs of age and wear but they are used so they are not perfect. The bottom of the glass lid does have a chip and it is not visible when on the jar. Antique primitive 7/8" thick wooden cabinet(I am not sure exactly what this is) May be a store display. Podium stand topper, cash drawer, but it is unque. It is approx. 20" x 12" x 13-3/4" high, and the caninet is made of what I believe is oak it is very heavy and has been stained dark. It has a shelf on the bottom that slants up toward the back and is made of rough saw board. It has a short drawer on the top with a wooden knob. 1940s SYLVANIA RADIO TUBES COUNTER DISPLAY RACK - ADVERTISING STORE VINTAGE NBC
This original SYLVANIA RADIO TUBES RETAIL COUNTER DISPLAY RACK dates to the 1940s- the early logo was used between 1942 and 1947. According to logo tracking websites. Given metal shortages during the war, I'm assuming this is from 1945-47. The metal display is in original unrestored condition; the paint is almost entirely intact and the rack is rust-free. Stands solidly, and is designed to be displayed standing or to be hung on a wall using pre-drilled holes on the back. The rack is 19 1/2" wide, 9" 1/2 deep and stands about 10 1/2" tall. It is assembled with small screws; the top sign is riveted to the top tray. I will disassemble it for shipping unless the buyer wishes to pay additional shipping costs. See photos for a closer look. There's some paint on the side panels and under the bottom tray(it was likely done ... moreby accident when some workshop bench was repainted) The trays have minor dings and dents and light scratches from ordinary use. Four removable dividers are placed on the top two trays. The header piece is in fantastic condition and the logos and letters are in excellent condition. The rack has general wear and some surface grime which would look even better with a proper cleaning; I like to leave these things in original condition. All in all. RARE J&P Coats Merchant Store Counter Desk Top
This is an antique four drawer J&P Coats Merchant Store Counter Desk. This particular desk is in excellent condition. The only thing I can find on the entire desk is what appears to be a minor repair on the inside of one of the drawers. The condition of this antique counter desk is literally as nice as it could possibly be. Especially considering how old it is. All of its original parts and pieces are still on the desk top, and in excellent shape. I have yet to find another J&P Coats Counter Desk that looks like this one. There are a few things that make this desk very unique and rare. First thing is the knobs, as they are made from porcelain, and not the more commonly seen brass knobs. The second thing you might notice is the inside of the drawers have a green lining that matches the top of the desk. This counter desk is the only ... moreone I can find that has the the green lining inside the drawers. Another feature that I have yet to come across on a four drawer counter desk is the piece of wood that sits on the back of the top of the desk. The only other J&P counter desk I can find that has a similar piece is a six drawer counter desk, but this counter desk is completely different in every other way. HUMPHREYS SPECIFICS Metal Sign COUNTER TOP Pharmacy STORE DISPLAY Wood CABINET
Up for auction is this fabulous antique 34-drawer counter top store display cabinet with old metal advertising sign for HUMPHREYS' SPECIFICS being offered"as is as found" it is in a somewhat distressed state- or as we like to call it- all original primitive patina" There is wear to the wood finish and the metal sign. There is a piece broken off the base- just needs to be reattached(it will be included) it also shows the expected chips and dings consistent with it's use, age and storage. The metal sign is wonderful, deep turquoise/teal blue background with off-white writing listing the 35 uses for HUMPHREYS' WITCH HAZEL OIL, the trade mark image at the top- a pretty nude woman with lion is beautiful. The other side of the case has 34 drawers with knobs- not all of the knobs match, there are some small wooden knobs, ... moresome a bit larger, some just have a nail and some are missing altogether; though, all of the drawers are present. There are 30 smaller top drawers that measure 3 1/2 inches across by 5 1/4 inches deep and 2 3/4 inches high, of these 30, 6 are divided in half on the inside. The 4 larger drawers on the bottom measure 8 3/4 inches across, 5 1/4 inches deep and 3 1/2 inches high- of the 4- 2 are divided into thirds on the inside and the bottom 2 are divided in half on the inside. The total height of the cabinet is 27 1/2 inches high, 21 1/2 inches across and almost 9 3/4 inches deep- weighs almost 35 pounds. Believe it is oak due to the exquisite grain that is visible and the weight. It is of very good solid construction, the case is not loose or wobbly, though some of the drawers do stick. At one time- in it's history, it was used to hold nails and other hardware, there are still old scraps of paper indicating what was inside. There is also some old writing in what looks like black grease pencil- mostly numbers. All in all, a superbly authentic primitive cabinet with unlimited possibilities. Absolutely one of the most beautiful showcases I’ve seen. And the only one of this type and size I’ve ever seen. It’s not perfect but for its age in my opinion it’s in outstanding condition(see photos) The showcase was made by Specialty Case Co of Kendallville. Ind. I’m guessing sometime in the 1920s. For Auction: One vintage Eagle Electronic Lead store counter display with 98 tubes of Eagle Electronic leads for mechanical pencils. Most of the leads are in gold tubes which is the"standard" size lead for Eagle mechanical pencils. There are a few of the silver tubes for thin leads(see photos) The dimensions of the display are 15 inches along the front length. 9 inches wide and at the highest point of the display, 6 inches. The translucent lid is made of plastic. The slots for the leads are made of metal and the rest of the display is made of wood. The display was made in the USA more than likely during the 1950's. Used. Not mint. Maker unknown. On top wood piece it appears there was once a maker's tag. But it is long gone. Measures about 45" x 34" x 22" Please be aware this thing is heavy! I have no clue how heavy, but take my word for it. Made of wood. I think the wood is oak, but I could be wrong. Age of making- unknown. Glass pieces in between drawers. I did not see any chips or cracks, but after looking at this thing for so long I could have missed something. So, in case glass is missing, chipped, cracked, or flea bites. All drawers are present. Sawyer's Brass? Front Tole painted Store Counter Display w/ Glass Pretzels?
This is a large( 10x10x11 1/2" metal box with a closing lid- the front is brass with a tole painted insert- there is a glass insert for viewing that appears original- it is old glass- it is very heavy and thick. The box is tole painted all over except the underside which is painted but has no decorative painting. There are some dents on the front but it still displays well. a Great pair of vintage soda fountain stools from the late 1900's or early 1900's. 1910 maybe. Like would be found in many of the small soda and drug stores of the era. Could also be for an old Bar if it fits your decor. Cast Iron hardware with Oak tops. I was going to use them but never did. Measures 22.5 and 21.5 inches high.Base is 6.5 inches wide Tops are 11.25 inches in diameter. There is a pin and insert for the top plate to go into the base. Slight wobble from use but good and could be shimmed up once fully restored. One top is missing some wood. I has intentions of restoring them. And how I would fix the top that is cracked is square up the one edge, glue in a new piece of matching wood, find the center and turn it on a drill press or lathe with the lathe tools to make the contour match.
