The platform is hinged and in the fully vertical position the stand height is 18 7/8” with a 6 ¾” wide. 8-sided base and a weight of 1 ½ lb. Antique Industrial Art Deco Adjustable Store Display Shoe/Boot Stand ITEM DESCRIPTION This Antique Industrial Art Deco Adjustable Store Display Shoe/Boot Stand is in good condition for its age. No cracks. Chips, or damage and the stand is still fully functional. Being sold as found, there is built up grime on the metal so this piece could clean up quite a bit if desired. The base is cast iron with rubber feet and is covered in some type of sheet metal. I can see a copper color but I also see silver colored metal as well so I am not sure what type of sheet metal it is made of. The metal pole is telescopic in two pieces and is adjustable in height and rotation. At the lowest level the stand is about 17" tall and fully extended it stands about 28 1/2" tall. The knobs look very industrial. The shoe platform is made of quarter sawn oak ... moreand has a wonderful patina. The platform measures about 9 3/4" long and tapers from 3 3/4" down to about 2 1/2" wide and is about 3/8" thick. The base is just over 5" square. Antique adjustable height shoe display stand. French or Italian style. Made of solid brass or bronze with an attached Cherub figure and porcelain rose. The rose is attached to a wire that is intertwined around the post. It stands 13" tall and will adjust up to about 20" The platform is made of lucite. The Cherub is screwed underneath on the base and is secure. Though it was originally welded to the post. It looks like the welding has broken loose from the Cherub figure and the rose vine. It has shifted a bit and you can see where it was originally attached. There are a few small chips at the edges of the porcelain rose and it is soiled. Thanks for looking.

Dating from the 19th Century. It is made from brass and copper and is a rare piece. It stands on an oval brass plate with four gorgeous copper lion's feet. The base and feet are weighted with cast iron making this a sturdy and substantial piece. At the top of the column of the stand is a brass finial and below this are the 3 arms which hold the shoes. The arms slot into supports which allow them to be positioned horizontally. At the end of the arms are the shoe supports. These have two little teeth on to which the heel of the shoe hooks. The shoe supports each have a small screw which allows them to be angled up and down as required. Although made to display shoes. The stand is decorative in itself and a very collectable and atmospheric piece. Lovely for a vintage clothes shop or a shoe shop or to add a little couture chic at home. ANTIQUE LATE 1800 SHOE DISPLAY STAND AND LADIES WOMANS LEATHER SHOES
We have for your viewing and bidding pleasure an antique shoe display stand and a pair of women's or ladies antique and/or vintage pair of black shiny leather shoes. From the information we obtained. This metal stand is from the late 1800's era. In its down position the center stand itself(not where the shoes set on) it is 14” high. In its up position it can expand up to 25” high. The metal straps where the shoes set on can be adjusted backward, forward and sideways. The shoe stand is in good condition in its natural aged patina. The top base part of the stand has a 3/8” dent, some very fine line scratching and some little areas off to the left of the dent of corrosion. There is also a little pin head dent. The shoes are in very good condition. They show some minimal wear. We did not find a manufacturer label or a size. From the leather ... moreheel area to the tip of the toe they measure 10” long. From the bottom of the heel area to the tip of the toe it is 8 ¾” the high heel slants downward at the back) This heel is 2 ¼” high and at the front 1 7/16” Across the widest part of the leather sole they measure 3” across. The shoes have fancy stitching behind the toe area and the back side top area going down to the thin leather soles behind. The shoes would lend themselves great for a nostalgic display, play acting, theatre and costumes, etc. We are listing the above described shoe stand and shoes at a no reserve selling price. While selling at an Antique Show at Fair Park in Dallas, I was approached by a customer asking if I'd be interested in buying remaining inventory and display pieces from a closed Mercantile west of Fort Worth. The store was opened in the days of the cattle barons in North and West Texas following the Civil War. It's the dream of antiques dealers everywhere to have this opportunity. THIS CHARMING SHOE DISPLAY STAND TURNED OUT TO BE PART OF THAT OPPORTUNITY. The store closed before WWII, the accumulation of display pieces dated from the start date to the 1930's. This 1890 to 1905 stand is utilitarian yet lovely in its way, used in the day when EVERYONE BASICALLY WORE ONE IMPORTANT PAIR OF SHOES AT A TIME!Authentic. MEASUREMENTS: approx 13" tall, the ... morebase is 7" in diameter and each shoe platform is 7" by 2 1/4" The shoe platforms can be adjusted and individually moved to create the best possible look for the display. Perfect for display, photography or use in a shop. I would like to note that this is EXACTLY LIKE I PURCHASED IT. This is amazing, I used at nearly every show for over 15 years and careful treatment has preserved it for a new owner. My mahogany display pieces were highly sought after by my customers AND OTHER dealers. This stand is the FIRST TO COME OF SEVERAL MATCHING PIECES, all handmade, hand-carved in what I'm pretty sure as mahogany. There are hat stands and shoe stands coming.
